I get this msg when attempting to cut Error 1 Command not recognized

Probably a bad install.

Start Mac using Command + R , install OS X on the same Hard Drive. It should fix it.

If you plan to do any kind of plumbing work in your house i would strongly recommend that you invest in a pipe cutter. They give a much neater and easier finish than a saw but if you don't do much DIY and are more likely to call in a plumber than to do it yourself, don't bother spending the money.

It appears that your printer has the cut bit set to cut, from a prior print job. Suggest that you do a short print job with the cutter set to NOT cut. That should change the instruction in the machine until it has been changed to cut again. By the way, the factory advises us that the K4350 should typically NOT be using the cutter to cut heat shrink. So you may want to change the setting to NOT cut for the long haul. Your hard drive might be on the way out

Restart your computer repeatedly tapping the f8 key to enter safe mode while the screen is black once in safe mode where the only things working will be your keyboard and mouse allowing you to attempt to repair your computer

If done properly the user should get to a screen similar to the below screen.

Select the option for Safe mode command prompt only

Safe Mode
Safe Mode with Networking
Safe Mode with Command Prompt

Enable Boot Logging
Enable VGA mode
Last Known Good Configuration (your most recent settings that worked)

Return to OS Choices Menu

Use the up and down arrow keys to move the highlight to your choice.

select safe mode with command prompt then type in chkdsk/f/r which will scan for and and attempt repair of bad files and bad sectors on hard drive

you should have no input while chkdsk utility is in progress any input might further damage your computer or

Use the System File Checker tool (SFC.exe) to determine which file is causing the issue and then replace the file.

Type the following command and then press ENTER: sfc /scannow The sfc /scannow command scans all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with correct Microsoft versions.

Most likely gears inside have been damaged...open up the cutting head... see what is broken ,then contact ROYAL at 1-800-524-0799 for parts assistance.

(2) Ensure that another program is not using the same port number.

Type netstat in command prompt to see all active ports.

It might do this because it cant recognize the internet. Mine does this from time to time too, but I'm not sure if I get that particular error.

Try a couple things.

1. Totally close down Yahoo! and open it back up. See if that helps.

2. If you have a Wireless connection, shut your computer down and basically reboot the connection. Unplug your modem, then your router. Wait 15-30 seconds, then plug in your modem. Wait for the lights to all become solid, plug the router back in, then turn your computer on.

Sometimes a router will stop recognizing your computer. I've had it happen to me, and the odd part of it was I could still browse the net, but not use my IMs.

3. If nothing else works, uninstall and reinstall Yahoo! IM. It may just be a glitch.

if the cutter cycles on start up up?
if not, check connector(RJ45) underneath platen assy.
I connected the I class should immediately recognize the cutter.
If it does not cut ever, check you format to see if the cutter is turned on in the driver.
I have seen some failures from wear on the bell crank that cycles the cutter.

i had the exact same problem and i installed and un-installed
over and over again

and then it hit me !!!

why bother ??? , just download a 3rd party scanning software like "VueScan" or any other you find on google and it does the job !!
it's light, recognize the scanner (C4280) automatically and scan !!
