I would like to know if there is a retro-fit for the hinges on the French doos. I've owned other French Door models but in looking at the Samsung in Best Buy I NEVER noticed that the doors don't open wide enough to even pull out the drawers far enough to reach items at the back of the drawers. Very poorly deslgned hinges

SOURCE: Does anyone know how to replace the hinge DA61-04866A on a Samsung french door vertical panel

unclip the plastic cover off your door hinge and unscrew the screws on your door make sure you leave the top screw in just a bit so you can take it out with your fingers before you drop the door ok same for both sides

SOURCE: samsung french door freezer will not open

Aha!

The Samsung wants the password.... in French! No!

Sorry.... couldn't resist....
If it's iced up then that would hold it shut until it melts.

Icing up is usually caused by a bad seal!

The left door isn't closing with the magnet. (It isn't a rubber hinge/strip problem) It is the bumper inside at the top which isn't gliding over the stop on the door side

Try cleaning both surfaces with a bit of dish detergent on a damp sponge, to remove any sticky stuff, then apply a burst of silicone spray. That's what worked on our fridge when the freezer door became balky.

Good day! The center flap (vertical hinged flap) no longer rotates back in when closing the left door. Result: the flap remains "out" when closing the door thus banging up against the right door.

Their is a factory issue on some models call the factory to see if your unit is a defective unit. Other wise the door flap has to be replaced. Not cheap..

I've had the refregerator for 10 months.. All of a sudden water is appearing on the floor next to the refrigerator. Where could it be leaking from?

Pull it forward and seei if the drain pan is either overflowing or empty. If it,s empty, check the drain isn't blocked, causing meltwater to leak from inside. If it's overflowing, check the door seals properly and the defrost settings are ok.

Samsung french door refrigerator ice maker no dispenser defroster leaking water into bottom and produce drawers

If it is a frost free unit the water collects in a well at the compressor , there is a heater element in the well that boils off the water , this is were the fault is.
