Look underneath, there may be a panel that exposed the drive belt and motor. They should be fully assembled apart from the placing the turntable and the ring on the drive.

Try connecting wires from a good battery of equal voltage, simply connect the negative side of each battery and the positive sides( A butter knife on the bottom and one the top will do). If the battery is larger or smaller the a piece of coated wire with the ends stripped off may be necessary for the top connection. This is parallel circuitry. Make sure the battery is removed from unit !!! This will give your battery a flash charge that might just get the job done.

My Belling BEL-CJ/SS25 Microwave / oven / grill has recently developed a problem. Every time I close the door the turntable starts rotating, even when I'm not using it. It doesn't make a noise, and doesn't seem to be going into any cooking setting, and the light doesn't come on, but it turns until I open the door, when the light comes on and the turntable stops turning. This has only recently started happening, and nothing else seems to be wrong with it, Is this safe or should I get rid of it and buy a new one. The guarantee has expired so repair may be cost prohibitive.

There is a fuse inside on the right side. Covers are easy to remove but there will be torx safety screws usually only 2

i have exactly the same problem. can't find much info about this anywhere at the moment!

Generally, the most common causes of a failure to heat are:

- bad door switches or door switch mounts
- loose connection at the magnetron
- problem or loose conneciton on the control unit circuit board
- bad magnetron or other high voltage part
