Hello

For some reason, the sound for the alarm and hourly chime is muted. Is there something I can do or is watch defective?

First look for the set button then press it ,a long press and If it is blinking that's the time you to select the hour ,the minutes,the day/date,the alarms and the special features of your watch.The right button the up and down or for scrolling.Try all of this so your time will set.

Go to the bottom of the page and you can just make out "product instructions and downloads", select this and then select "product manuals"

There are a number of manuals that appear to be for your model, so I suggest that download the one that seems the one you want for yourself, if you go to "timex.com".

At the bottom of the screen there is a menu, select "manuals/downloads".

On the next page select "product manual downloads"

insert you model name into the search box a list of manuals appears choose one and download.
