The "lamp" LED turns red when plugged in and the ready light turns green. when the power button is pressed, the bulb projects the blue start-up screen then shuts off and the fan turns on. the screen then stays blank. how can I get the lamp LED off and the screen to go to normal start-up? it just turns on then off. any help is greatly appreciated. thanks, noah partridge
Lamp LED should be lit when the projector is in Standby. However, the problem you are describing sounds like one of two issues. Either the lamp is bad and needs replaced, or there is a power supply fault. If you have tried replacing the lamp already, make sure you reset the lamp counter or the projector may still not function properly.
does the temp warning light come on when the projector shuts off? if so you may also try cleaning the air vent filters and ensure there is proper air flow around the projector. if that checks out then have the projector serviced as the power supply is likely suspect.

Hey zrscott388, did you end up replacing the bulb and did that fix it? My Z1 is doing the same thing. I hate to spend 300-400 on a bulb and it doesn't work. The Z5 is going for 1100 new on Ebay. I rather do that than waste money. Please let me know.

broken lamp?? check for little cracks in the bulb bar.
If lamp is discoloured( dark grey), overheating is cause, no cooling after using the PJ.
