my repairman is out a his depth and needs a $200 tool to narrow down the issue. Never, never buy Mitsubishi. Bought two mrSl;ims and they've cost me dear, and very regularly. Current unit has been out of service for two years and the Local (Perth WA) Mitsubishi crowd) could not care less. It's a continual swap out of boards (4) and compressors superimposed upon dual fan burnouts caused by the board's failures). Save the angst and give Mitsubishi a big miss. They are an expensive inoperative nightmare with dismal expensive support.

This indicates a communication failure between the Main Control Unit and the operation control circuit board. Power the machine down and disconnect from hte power supply. Check all the connectors and wiring on the boards and also any loose wiring that may be grounding the machine. Power back up and if the fault persists a qualified copier engineer will be required.
Mitsubishi Mr slim comes with no diplay on the indoor unit but there is small display on th eremote unit.for further help kindly send your air conditones complete model
if its a u9-1 code it is the lamp that is faulty. Sometimes it can be the connections either end of the lamp but normally the lamp itself. It will probably cost as much to fix as it would to get a new one to be honest
