Sound card deleted sound item from taskbar

Hello, was the sound working before, i would like to know

1. Your sound card might be disabled from the bios. Restart your computer and quickly press F2, F10 or Delete button to get into the bios to check.
2. Un-install your sound card driver completely and then re-install
3. Your sound may be disabled from within windows, check for the speaker icon on your taskbar and if the slider works.
4. Another hardware on your computer is conflicting with your sound card. Have you installed any recent hardware or software? if so remove them and see if it solves the problem

Missing icon from taskbar
1. If you have uninstall your Audio drivers from your system the volume icon will not show in the taskbar. You have to reinstall the audio drivers to restore the volume icon back to the taskbar

2. If the your volume icon is missing from the taskbar and you did not uninstall the audio drivers, then go to Start -> Control Panel -> Sounds,Speech, and Audio Devices -> Sounds and Audio Devices ->"Place volume icon in the taskbar" box -> Uncheck & check -> Apply & OK and your volume is restore at the taskbar. (Reboot if necessary)

Go to start button, control panel, sound, when you open sound, you can configure it.

You did not post which windows you have.

You can right click on the bottom taskbar, a little window will open,
click on properties, under the taskbar tab, click custom, and you should see Volume, tell it to place it on the taskbar.

First, download the latest driver for your card.
Turn off PC and remove the sound card, then turn on PC and carry out the following;
1. Deinstall the driver and reboot the system.
2. Execute the Windows program regedit and search all items for "Delta".
3. Delete all items and groups of items which point to "M Audio Delta".
4.Turn off PC, re-install card and reboot the system.
5. Install the latest M Audio driver.

You have only increased your taskbar size, don't worry...
Right-click on an empty part of the taskbar, and ensure the "lock the taskbar" is unchecked. Next, position your mouse right on the top edge of the taskbar, your mouse should change to two black opposing pointing arrows. Hold left-click, and drag the taskbar down.
This will reduce the taskbar back to the way you're used to.

there nosound they have told me that they have to replaced from the mother board,i am using usb sound card even in chating they cant hear me even me the same my lap top aspire5315.

I'm presuming that the sound is actually working, and the missing icon is your only problem. If so, then there's no problem with your sound card.

I also presume you mean it's missing from your system "Notification Area" (aka "system tray"/"systray" located on the bottom right next to the clock on your "Taskbar").

If you're refering to your actual sound card GUI's (graphical user interface) icon:

1. Open its program (should be somewhere in your list of program shortcuts within your Start button menu.
2. Find the configuration area within that program that toggles on/off the icon you're missing, and viola!

If you're referring to the Windows "Volume" icon:

1. Open "Sounds and Audio devices" in your list of "Control Panel" items.
2. Check mark "Place volume icon in the taskbar" found on the "Volume" tab, and viola!

NOTE: You may need to restart (reboot) for the change to take effect.

Do you get the volume control speaker icon in the taskbar bottom right of the screen.
If so double click it and the mixer should popup.
Make sure none of the items in it are Muted, or the levels sliders are not at the bottom.

If not go to Control panel on the Start menu. Then click on the
Sound and Audio Devices icon. When the box pops up have a look to see if the option to Place volume icon in the taskbar is ticked or greyed out (not clickable).
If it's not clickable then there is usually no sound device installed.
If that is the case you should check in the Bios to make sure the On Board Audio is Enabled. The way to get in to the Bios varies from computer to computer.
Usually you press F2 or the Delete key just as the computer starst up and before it loads Windows.
The On Board Audio setting is in the Integrated Devices or Integrated Peripherals section or similar.
If it's Disabled just change setting to Enable or Auto.
Save changes and Exit, then it will reboot.

If it's not any of them then it may just be a matter of reinstalling the Audio Drivers.
Find the make and model number of the machine and have a look on the manufacturers website. They usually have all the drivers and manuals.
