SOURCE: I have a single phase motor with 4 wires .

the motor must be of the multi voltage type to start. 220/110 record the manufacture model# and name and check oline for the correct procedure for moving the wires to the correct pins. Or they may be a wiring schemadic on the inside panel of the motor cover that has the same info.

Wire 230 volt air compressor wiring diagrams

On 230 volts you have 3 wires 2 are 115 volt and the third wire is ground. As long as you hook the ground wires together correctly the other wires don't matter. Usually the ground wire is either white or green. The black wires are hot (115 volts).

I need a three phase wiring diagram for 8145-20 model timer.

8145-20 240Volt Paragon timer is not 3-phase.
Clock motor is 240V.
You need a transformer to convert 3-phase to single phase 240V to operate timer.
Then timer outputs can control 3-phase power using 3-phase contactors
Contactor below is 3 phase with 240V coil

I have a new water heater, and the hook up terminals are labled 1-2-3 are they hooked the same as in the panel 1-2-3 ?

No. You have to find out if you have 3 phase or single phase power. If this is a new unit you will find a wiring diagram inside the front cover. 3 phase power has 3 "hot" wires. Single phase has 2 "hot" wires. There is a big difference when you hook it up wrong. I don't know if this is a new installation or if you are replacing an old one. The terminals are numbered for 3 phase. If you look in your breaker box, 3 phase 208 will haven a breaker with 3 spaces hooked together by one bar. Single phase will have two spaces hooked together by a bar. So if the breaker kicks out it will flip all 3 space on 3 phase or 2 spaces on single phase. If you already have wires to the location of the booster heater, you may have to use single phase if that is all that is at that location. If you have single phase power you will have to look at the wiring diagram and you will see the terminal block represented for both single and 3 phase. Normally running from the terminal block will be six wires marked 1 through 6. The wireing diagram will say something like "for single phase put 1,3,5 on terminal 1 and 2,4,6 on terminal 3. Leave terminal 2 out all together. Of course at this point your 2 hot wires will go to terminal 1 and 3. There are other considerations as well. With 3 phase the circuit wires will be smaller gauge and may not carry the current you need for single phase. This is a booster heater. You need to hook up your hot water line to go into the heater and the boosted hot water to your appliance. It will not work to heat your water for other purposes. It is meant to take 140 degree water and boost it to 190 degrees. Good luck, hope this helps

I need a wiring diagram for the Hobart H600 which has a multi tap motor on and i would like to change the voltage on the motor to 200volt single phase 120/208 or even 120208 3phase. The wiring diagram is...

You cannot wire a three phase motor for single phase and you cannot wire a single phase motor for three phase. If you have a three phase dual voltage motor your options are 220 or 440 volts. If you have a single phase dual voltage motor your options are 120 or 240 volts. A 208 volt Hobart motor will only function correctly on 208 volts and is not dual voltage.

How do I connect multiple (two or more) 3 phase ac power sources (from wind turbine alternators) to a single 3 phase junction to power one device?

what did you mean by single 3 phase? single phase motor have two wire output 110-110, 3 phase gen have 3 wires 110-110-110. if only two wires here ,this is single phase, all appliances are only single phase so you can connect it here, except some 3 phase motor or dynamo. the ac current has no polarity so you can connect to it all kinds of load depends upon the amperage of of your turbine generators
