Jabra a 210 adapter not charging

Hello.  I just purchase a jabra a210 adapter for my windows media phone that is not boothtooth compatible (go figure).  When I brought the device home I plugged it into the charger and the red light came on showing it was charging but only stayed on for around 3 seconds.  I read the instructions and they said the red light would stay on while charging but it did not.  I charged the adapter for about 2 hours ( what the instructions told me to do).  Once the 2 hours where up I unplugged the adapter and tried to power it up and nothing happend.  I kept trying and the blue light never came on.  I called the jabra company for support and they said that it sounds like a bad internal battery.  I then returned the adapter back to the store and exchanged it.  The new adapter that I got from the store turned out to do the same exact thing.  Charged it forever tried to power it up and again nothing.  I then went back to the store for the third time and had them open up another package and try to plug it in at the store and it did the same exact thing again.  Red light comes on for a few seconds then goes off.  I proceeded to take the charger and adapter home to try and charge it over night to see if that would help and this morning tried to power up the adapter and nothing happened.  I tried calling jabra and they are closed for the weekend.  Ugh I am so frustrated and I am pretty knowledgeable when it comes to electronics but at this point I am totally stumped!!  Please help.

I've now had FOUR of these *&@^#$ things - the first worked for about a year (so I was happy) - when it died, i went online and found them very (very) cheap, so bought THREE (figuring they'd last me forever) - the first one worked for about two weeks; numbers two and three won't even charge....
I'm FURIOUS at Jabra for making (still?) such a crappy product. I'm going to try to get in touch with them this week to see if they know the extent of their problem - and whether or not they have ANY intent on making things 'right' (which I HIGHLY doubt, otherwise engineering would have fixed whatever the problem is - and recalled the defective ones - and reissued working ones - but that never seems to have happened; has it?)
So Jabra is just sort of taking money for NOTHING; it's a 'scam' - pure and simple!

I contacted Jabra and they said this problem is due to a bad internal battery. There is nothing that can be done to fix it. So I returned it to the guy who sold it to me and got my money back. Purchased another from a different vendor, and this one works great. That's the only solution!

See another similar question with my more detailed answer, but it seems the battery must have some life to let the system charge. too low and the whole thing becomes dysfunctional. You can go in the case and hot wire the black wire over to the neg terminal on the battery (1/8" distance) to get some juice in the battery, then after 1/2 hour it will charge on its own (see details elsewhere). The red light must be on as proof it is charging. good luck

I had the same problem. I called Jabra; they said to mail it and the receipt to them and they would replace it.

Can't connect

In your Jabra bluetooth headset, press and hold the button in the headset until you see BLUE flashing light. Once the light is flashing in the Jabra, go to your Motorola phone and search for any Bluetooth device in range. when the Jabra shows up, select the Jabra and put in the pin code for the headset "its either 0000 or 1234)

The Jabra A210 keeps dropping the connection between the devices.

My solution is to connect the jabra audio jack to the speaker output of my receiver. Jabra need it to detect a source. If the connection to the source is cut, jabra waits around 30 seconds and if nothing happend jabra stop the transmittion. I hope that helps.

Jabra bT260s Pairing problem...

You may need to change your output sound device. The method may vary depending on your software and hardware, but go to Start -> Control Panel -> Sound (I think. Doing this from memory, so might be slightly off). There should be a Devices or Output tab. Change that to your bluetooth headset. You will probably need to restart WMP before you hear music, too.

Activation of bluetooth device with Motorola's Motoroker E6 model.

Check it out. As funny as it seems, you can't play the media from the device through your bluetooth. You have to buy a certain/different kind of bluetooth to listen to media. Crazy I know. Isn't life grand. Least that is how it is with my Samsung Blackjack. You can also get right kind of earbuds for wired listening.
Call Motorola or whoever you bought the phone from to verify this.

Jabra bluetooth adapter A210

you have to connect the jabra audio jack to the audio source, to the speaker output of your receiver for example. If jabra detects the source it will work. If you cut the connection, jabra watch for a while if something happend and than stops the transmittion. Hope that helps

Won't charge up...

I had the same issue. So what I did was get a small screwdriver, opened the A210 case removed the battery. You will notice orange tape (remove it) then attached to the battery is a small board (the defective part) . Cut away the board, then you will need to solder the wires back to the thin metal film leads. And voila it will now charge, make sure to never let it charge for more than 2 hours. Do this at your own risk. Of course this will void the warranty.
