SOURCE: can't tilt blade more than 15 degrees

Follow the blade calibration procedure in the manual.
Unplug.
Take off the back and look at the worm assembly. I think you will find the stop toward the right loose allowing this problem.

If you adjust it (you'll need a 3mm allen wrench) per the manual, it should be fine. I just finished aligning my saw at 90 and 45 degrees and though it is a bit tedious, it isn't difficult.

Good luck.

SOURCE: The saw blade is 1/16

To be that far out of alignment, there must be something loose. Unplug it, turn it over and look for what it is. If you have a drop-indicator gage, and you can clamp it to your sliding miter gage, it will help you get the alignment dead-on. Slide the miter gage toward the front and back in the slot with the tip of the indicator in contact with the blade. Have the the blade at fully elevated postion. If you don't have such a gage, you can clamp a piece of wood to the miter gage to get pretty close. You will probably have to do this with the saw laying on it's backside so that the top and the bottom are accessible at the same time.

SOURCE: I have the Hitachi C10FL

Hi,
I assume that you have this direct wired...
What size wire are you using to run the saw and how far from the breaker panel to the saw???
Are there any other tools running off of the same subfeed or breaker panel???

The saw will often tripped because of low voltage caused by too light of wire going to the saw.

At 115v you will need a 40 amp circuit and at 240v you will need a 20 amp circuit and if you are running more then like 30 feet you should still have it wired with at least #10 ga. wire....

If this saw is not a new install and has just started to do this then check the motor and/or bearings to make sure that something is not causing it to run hard...
Of course the motor could also just be going bad...also...

Is there a replacement rip fence and blade guard available that will fit a Craftsman 10" table saw model 137.218072

The parts diagram for the Craftsman 137.218072 is available here: https://www.searspartsdirect.com/model/2fdac98m1p-000247/craftsman-137218072-table-saw-parts . The blade guard is available; it's part 3232, The rip fence (part 2RXS) is not available. However, there are after-market table saw fences that probably can work. You may need to make some adjustments for the mounting points. See https://woodsmithspirit.com/best-table-saw-fence/ for some ideas.

I hope getting the blade guard at least helps.

Table saw blade alignment

Are you referring to the table top or rip fence alignment? The blade itself is not aligned. We adjust the table to parallel with blade and the rip fence should toe away from blade 0.01mm over the length of the rip fence to prevent binding.

Sawblade is not parallel with fence on delta tablesaw

The Rip fence SHOULD toe out aprox 0.010mm over the length of the rip fence to prevent binding. Adjust using the Rip fence to measuring rail. Should be adjusters there but if its an old saw, you may have to adjust the measuring rail where it meets the saw frame.

How to adjust the blade at exact 90 degre

Use a carpenter square, place the square on the table top with the blade up right, adjust the tilt of the table saw blade until it is exactly parallel to the blade of the carpenter square. Check the blade in several places as the table saw blade is sometimes warped. Try to adjust until a happy median is obtained.

Rip fence is out of alignment..what do I need to do?

This is the fundamental problem with rip fences on table saws. I don't know what kind of rip fence you have, but most rip fences are adjustable for squareness. However, unless you have a very nice (and expensive) rip fence, they often don't self-align when you move them anyway. If you have the type that clamps at the front and the back of the table, the problem can be overcome by making sure the rip fence is straight before you clamp it in place. The easiest way I have found to do that is to use an adjustable square. Put the front of the rip fence where you want it, then set the adjustable square so that it matches the distance from the miter slot in the table to the fence. Then move the square to the back of the table and move the back of the fence to meet the end of the square. Now clamp it in place and check the front and the back one more time. It's tedious to do this every time you adjust the fence, but you can get a perfectly aligned fence this way. This method assumes that your blade is parallel to your miter slots, which is adjustable too, but you have to get underneath the saw to do that. good luck, Al K

Rip fence to saw blade alignment

I dont believe there are pictures, but what you need to do is move the fence to the blade, there are 2 10MM bolts on the backside that you need to loosen and then you can move the fence to square with the blade. Snug them down and move the fence and recheck let me know if you have anymore problems

Blade isn't cutting well. It smokes and the wood rides up as it is cutting. The saw is 14 yrs old but blade has only been used a few times. I think it needs alignment. Can I do that myself?

You should be able to adjust the fence but every model is different so I probably cannot tell you exactly how. My Biesemeyer fence has 2 set screws on front guide of the fence for parallel adjustment to the blade (this fence is a single piece fence). I had a Sears contractor saw that had 2 bolts on the top of the fence that needed to be loosened, the fence moved parallel, and the bolts tightened again (the Sears fence was a bolt together fence). Whatever fence you have I would think the adjustment would be on the front part of the fence. I would remove the fence (the fence only, not the guides) from your table saw and take a close look at it for any adjustment screws (the Biesemeyer set screws are somewhat hidden) . If the fence bolts together you will probably need to loosen the bolts to do the alignment. There is a quick check you can make to verify the problem is the fence not being parallel to the blade because your problem could also be caused by a bent saw blade arbor (the saw blade would wobble as it turns)

ø Lock your fence down and measure from the front of the blade to the fence and from the back of the blade to the fence. These measurements should be within 1/32” (ideally is should be zero).
ø If the fence passes the test above, you can see if your saw blade shaft is bent by sliding the fence very near the blade, locking the fence down, and rotation the blade by hand (unplug the saw first). If the blade rubs on the fence as it rotates then you could have a bent arbor, a bad arbor bearing, or a bent blade.

Blade Alignment?

ok yep your blade is out of alignment with the fence. It is closer to the fence at the rear than the front. You need to make the modification or adjustment to your fence, if it allows that, and then worry about the miter slots later (which should be adjusted miter slot to blade, not miter slot to fence). You might be able to adjust the miter slot to blade by moving the actual table and then securing witht he table mount bolts. Check your manual for how to align the fence.

You do want to fix that though as it can be potentially dangerous and result in kickback of the workpiece which is a rather SCARY thing, and very dangerous.
