Hi,
Driver related problems can be solved by using this program Driver Update (including your epson driver files). Wish you best of luck
Chris
Possible solution if ur printer is still looking for epsontm-p2.01 driver even though you installed correctly the driver for epson tm u-220pd. First, if u r using a parallel port make sure you installed correctly the driver of the parallel port and remember the name of the port. then go to the printers properties and select the appropriate port name(like lpt1) then make a print test. if still it doesn't work, uncheck the bidirectional support and select the enable printer pooling and mark the lpt ports. just try adding 1 each at a time until the printer work correctly. Second, if u are using a parallel to usb port, unmark also the bidirectional printing option and select enable printer pooling and add the usb which has a description of virtual printer port for... and see if ur printer works correctly.if not try adding again different ports like in parallel port.

The support website should have the software either as separate programs or as a burnable cd image.
You are awesome dude tnx so much
The Epson Tm-p 2.01 is plugged to windows NT or windows server 2003 so there is no solution except the server so we must connect the printer to a server to work properly.

hi basiime
possible issue is port configuration. if the generic text driver works, apd driver should work too.
what may be happen is that when you install the apd driver the other printer drivers that you have were still using the same port that your apd driver were using. example, you have generic txt assigned to lpt1 and then the apd were assigned on the same port, this is were you get the trouble.
what you must do is, first, check any printer driver that you have using the lpt, say for example, you generic text is using lpt1, when you install the apd driver set it to lpt2. apd drivers will create a new port normally called esdprt. try to use that port but if that will not work reassigned the port of your apd driver to lpt2 printer port then uncheck bi-directional support. from there you should be able to print..
hope that resolves your issue.. =)
