We were given a microwave from my parent's, and they didn't tell us that it makes a loud noise when you are using it, it heats and the table turns inside, just makes an extremely loud noise while it's heating the food. Any help would be appericated.Hotpoint Microwave Model jes636wko1
After you turn it on, it's a loud noise like it's coming from the fan, but other then that it works wonderfully.
Could you describe the noise? It may be a noisy fan motor or a failing magnetron or high-voltage transformer. If you or a friend decide to look into it, we have critical information on safety, disassembly and door switches at our site, linked here on Fixya: http://tinyurl.com/yzjozk You can usually find helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts by entering your full model number here: http://tinyurl.com/gv383
If the microwave is loud or noisy only when cooking, the magnetron tube might be defective. The magnetron uses high voltage, high current DC power to generate the microwave frequency that cooks the food. Under normal circumstances the magnetron is nearly silent. However if it is damaged or nearly burned out it can begin emitting high pitched or growling noises. It's not normally dangerous to use a microwave oven when it makes these noises, but they are an indication that the magnetron is almost dead and will need to be replaced.

If the microwave is loud or noisy the stirrer motor might be worn out. The stirrer is a metal blade which slowly turns around, deflecting the microwave energy in a random pattern inside the microwave oven. As the motor nears the end of its useful life it begins to make grinding noises. The microwave will not heat food evenly without this stirrer, the motor should be replaced.

Same problem. Extremely noisy fan above the magnatron. It is easy to demonstrate that the fan is the problem. I got a replacement from GE. It was quiet for about 30 days and now the new one is noisier than the old one.
So worse then selling you junk, they sell you junk replacement parts too.
Everything inside is marked LG by the way.
I have a Whirlpool over the stove microwave which I love. It heats the food fine, but is very noisy when running. What is the problem?. Shall I call repaqir service or is there some type of a part I can order. Would this be the motor?
