Loose picture and sound for 40 sec. then picture and sound return
Loose picture and sound, Power Standyby light blinks green 36 times then picture and sound returns. Picture and sound quality seem good. happens frequently.
Lose picture and sound for a couple seconds and it comes back on, sometimes it gets a vertical line on the screen right before it goes out.I had the optical block changed out and it was fine for a while but started doing it again, seems to only do it when the weather warms up and it warmer in the house.I wander if theirs a heating issue do to a design flaw. For the money I spent I should'nt have any problems with this tv. Last time I buy Sony.

I have changed the lamp already, that was about 1 year ago, if I have to buy a lamp for $200.00 a year I'm better off throwing this tv in the garbage where it belongs.

These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating procedure, to many popular brand TVs and other devices. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/

If blinks continue without any pause, the main board is faulty.
5 times Red LED blinks means Lamp Driver Error. (KDF-55WF655) 2 possible reasons, either Lamp is gone or Ballast Supply got bad. Replace lamp first, in most cases it solved the problem. How old is this TV and did you replaced lamp recently? Thanks.
