Schwinn S1000 illuminates both green & red light, but no power

Full battery on electric scooter, Schwinn S1000. With the power switch turned on, on board battery indicator lights up both red and green at once. Right off the charger, battery indicator shows all three lights illuminated (green, yellow and red). No power though under either circumstance when you give it throttle.
Tried battery and brush motor in a similar scooter and both worked fine. Also checked fuses - not the problem.
Help! We want to get back to some extreme scootin!

I am having the same problem. By all indications it looks like the motor controller is the problem. Everything else works OK. I am pulling the controller tomorrow and replacing. If that doesn't work I am junking it.

SOURCE: Schwinn S350 Scooter batteries

Ron,

I just got a Schwinn S350 also. Its made by Currie Technologies (www.currietech.com). I printed the owners manual for the "Chain Drive Scooter Scries" and it says to charge the cscooters 6-10 hours, the first time and every time you use it. It should get 8-12 miles on a charge and do 15 mph.

Charging your power chair or scooter the correct way can make them last

Whenever you need to charge your power chair or scooter get into the habit of charging overnight. The battery level indicator lights will tell you if your chair or scooter needs charging. Whenever the lights are down into the yellow and especially if they are in the red. If you have the off-board charger, plug the charger into the charger port in the front of your joystick and then plug the charger into the wall socket or turn the on/off switch on and let it charge overnight. When you get up in the morning the charger should have a red light(power) and a green light illuminated (indicating fully charged) Always turn the charger off or unplug it from the wall socket before you unplug it from the chair or scooter. Never have the power on to the charger when you plug or unplug it from your chair or scooter. Whenever you get new batteries always give your batteries a full charge before use and then if you use the chair daily charge it every night. If you do not use your chair or scooter daily charge it at least once a week. Never leave the charger plugged in and on for more than 24 hours. Your batteries should last you 3-4 years if you charge them correctly.

Can't start my schwinn 4.0 electric scooter

I suspect 1 of 3 things, The brake switch, the speed controller, or the throttle switch. I don't believe it would be the motor but there is a possibility. I am providing you some links to try and help you out. Electric Scooter and Bike Troubleshooting Repair Manual Motor Does Not Run...

Schwinn S180 won't charge

NashvilleDan, this scooter has 2 12v 10 amp batteries in series, you should read over 24 volts at the charging hub if the batteries are good. I would think that if the scooter sat for over a year you have bad batteries, They can be purchased at battery plus.

Not sure if this will help... however an altmeter will allow you to test along your electrics for any faults. You can check at the lights for example and throught the system.
