Electronic igniter continues to click repeatedly even after burner is ignited. Does this have to do with the ignition module? How to fix? Very annoying. All 4 burners will ignite, but clicking continues endlessly... Please help
I've had the same problem for 2 years. Today I removed the four burner tops, the 15/16 inch bolt that holds the burners in place, took everything apart (simple connections underneath), completely cleaned and dried eveything. I also cleaned the 4 knobs and making sure the 4 swiches slide up and down freely then dried everything with a hairdryer. Is now works fine but if the problem comes back, I'll simply unplug the cooktop and light it manually. P.S. I stripped one of the large 5/16 inch bolt that had become weak and brittle. - Try using water or some liquid to loosen the bolts as necessary. Good luck, CHEERS!
The jenn air cooktop-if the igniter continues to spark after the flame comes on the unit around the burner is bad.the igniter is also a flame sensor it senses heat and then shuts off knowing the flame is there.you can try to clean the tips at the burner if you choose but you might still have the same problem.otherwise you will have to replace the whole piece that goes around the burner itself.
Jenn Air cooktop is ****. This is the second Jenn Air cooktop I bought and both have the same problem which is it keeps igniting even after the fire already lit. The first one I got from Ebay so I can't and too expensive to return it, I brought the same Jenn Air for 2nd time at local because I figured the cut out of the countertop is the same. Damn it, the same problem with this one too. I called the store for service and they cant send service until 2 weeks later. AJMADISON.com has bad service and expensive, dont buy from them. I'll will update if I find out how they going to fix the problem.

After two weeks waiting for technician to show up. He knew right away it's not the problem with the cooktop, it's electrical outlet wiring. The wires are reversed. Once you've done that, it is fixed.
Try this if you have the same problem.

Jen air stove only problem with one burner intermittent spark to ignite changed one modual for another same problem if i light another burner at same time it then sparks and lights any ideas thanks
I had a first occurrence of the same problem. The ignition won't stop clicking. The noise was annoying. First, I unplugged the power cable. The plug is in the kitchen cabinet under the cook top. Then i removed the knobs and used cotton stabs and alcohol to clean everything under the knobs. It is important that the switches ( vertical bars that go under the knobs) can move freely up and down. I think that the clicking is triggred by the switch being pressed. Dirt (grease and dust) would prevent it from going in the Up position. Hope it helps. For me it solved the problem, at least for now.
The knob swtch is the problem /long time of use that gas stove / the small particles inside the knob are being form a conductor to line that line that hat being ignited once you ignite conductance will flow current to bypass switch /"need to clean knob switch."

Did not get a response to the problem. Still annoying us. Cleaning the igniter head with a small wire brush did seem to help a little. Sorry I couldn't help more...
When using one, or more burners, the ignitors continue to fire intermittently on all the burners. The product manual does not say how the ignitor is "told" when to fire but it must be something to do with both flow of gas (telling it to fire) and heat from burning gas (telling it to quit firing).
Any suggestions would be appreciated!
We have the exact same issue! The ignitor continues to click on all the burners even if only one is lit. Not a great product. We just moved into this house with all Jen Air products and have replaced all but the stove top with GE products. Any help would be appreciated Jen Air!
have to light with matches
Our gas stovetop keeps making a clicking noise and doesn't ignite anything. I can see a few parks sometimes. I usually light the burners with a lighter/matches and it works fine. I'm assuming it is a problem with the igniter? Do I just call a small appliance maintenance to replace it? Any ideas on cost?
I have just moved into a house, we have a Jenn-Air CCG457-W gas stove.
which has been with the previous owners for 10-13 years.
Once I turn the front burner all burners starts to ignitate. I have used gas stove for over before but never had a problem.
Please advise what I could do to stop the ignitor stop making noise.

A ceiling fan mounted 6ft from my Wolf gas cooktop caused the flame to be blown out, so the sensor was continually trying to relight the gas. Fan turned off when cooking solved this!
