Nice camera you can record directly to the 3.5 inch mini dvd's available virtually anywhere including walmart and Fred Meyer, those mini dvd's are playable on your computer and you can copy the files on them to your computer by placing them in your computer cd/dvd drive right clicking on them hitting explore highlighting the files you want to copy right click on them hit copy open the file you want to put them in and right click in that file and hit paste. You don't need cables, just put the disc in your computer. Be sure to read in the manual how to close the disc before you take it out of your camera or your computer won't recognize it.

How can i transfer a trv36 hi8 tape to a dvd

Hey;

Your camera uses the rca cable to connect too your TV right,
then get a DVD recorder that has an RCA input and select the input channel. Hit record on the DVD recorder then Play on the Camera.

It will record realtime you may aswell enjoy your home video as you record it.

I would STRONGLY advise not to record through a PC using USB... You will drop alot of frames this was as these USB's dont process video fast enough.

How can i take my recording on cd on my pc beacouse i dont have the cd-software with my camera what i want is to take everithyng that i record after on cd pls help

to connect the camera with your computer you have to buy a firewire cable (ieee 1394). also your pc has to have a firewire port. if not, then you can buy a firewire pci card.
then after you transfer the video you can burn it on a cd.

Hi8 Video to DVD

CCD-TRV37 is analog video camcorder and can not be hooked directly with computer because camcorder video-audio out is analog and computer needs digital format.

You can hook camcorder with DVD Recorder and burn a DVD. Now you have data in digital format and can transfer in your computer.

JVC Camcorder GR-D33U

try this steps
  • first install the driver camed with your camcorder to your pc. this should recognize your computer after the installation.
  • use USB cable to connect your camcorder to your pc.
  • as far as i know jvc is using a software name ulead (because i also have a camcorder and its software is ulead)
  • Try to use Ulead Movie producer, Windows Movie maker or any other software that accepts uploading dv video.(i prefer to use ULEAD movie producer or any Ulead products its easy to use)
  • After uploading it from the ULEAD and editing, save it with any various types of videos you like. (in your case save it in DVD format so that it will easy for you to burn it.)
  • Use NERO after searching the save video file and Burn it in DVD type
I hope you understand my procedures and steps on how to transfer it. if you have further questions just contact me. hope that helps!
