Very little grass is shooting into the bag to fill it

No previous problems but now the grass isn't shooting into the grass bag. It's not stuck in the way, it's just not going into the bag. Nothing lookings broken. The motor is running good. It happens even when cutting the grass high.(therefore not really a clumping problem) My sister in law having the same problem with her toro. Lawnmower repair guy says grass is wet and happens, but should this be happening on 2-3 day without rain grass. Any suggestions

Hello monica_skinn:

If the Underside of the Deck is Clean and the Blades are Tightened Properly, then the Problem is Caused by the Blade Lifts being Worn or the Blades are Not a High Lift (Bagger Blade) Blades.
A Bagger Blade has a Very High Lift Ear on the Backside of the Blade Across from the Cutting Edge. This Extra Lift is What Gives the Extra Lift and Throw (by increasing air Flow under the Mower) the Grass gets to be Bagged.
Please, Do Not Hesitate, If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem, I am Here if You Require More Assistance.
Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Be Safe and Be Happy. Thanks.

Good Luck

Respectfully

grass catchers need special shaped or good blades to throw the cut grass into the bag

Shoot to the bag plugs and then only muches. Will only bag minim al length

sounds like your grass is too wet for the machine you are using.. Dry gras should not plug unless it's too long as well.

Can I fill my punching bag with grass?

I would advise against this. Grass will not pack very well and eventually will begin to smell.

Mower is not shooting the grass out when using the mulcher. I have to clean the grass out when cutting the grass.

Maybe the grass you are trying to MUCLH is a little too high. Mulching doesn;t really cause the machine to "shoot" out the grass the way conventional cutting with a conventional blade does....it is the type of blade that when spinning, creates air pockets under the deck that allow the blades to keep cutting the grass over and over. Switch to a different blade to get it to shoot out.

Grass collector not filling

HMM .. if the grass is not going into the collector, I would look under the deck and see if there is something blocking the chute to the bag.

Can my lawn mower turn into a mulcher? it has a bag which fills up too quickly and we need to know if we can lose the bag or are we stuck with it? trust me, there is no flap or anything like that from the...

When you take off your bag isn't there a flap that slams shut over the hole? If there isn't then you're stuck with it.
Depending on the make, some mfgrs make a mulcher kit with special blades and a chute blocker.
The downside of mulchers is having to mow really dry grass twice a week or you'll have clumps of green glop all over the yard.

Stuck in high position

On this model vehicle the rear shockers should have air bags to keep car at normal ride height, when load changes.
The air bag can sometimes become caught between inner and outer tubes of shocker when car is raised and lowered quickly.
You will need to jack car up from tow hitch or frame to lower rear axle, this will unfold air bag, slowly lower car, with ignition on, this will make sure air compressor is filling air bags as they take the load.
Hope this is helpful, MMP
