Test your water alkaline and acid content during last rinse cycle, this usually causes stinking smell to your clothes. water should have a pH 7 to come out neutral.

SOURCE: machine smells mouldy- washing stinks!

Find out where your filter is; it is at the end of the thick hose coming down from the bottom of your tub; open up and clean out. Another possibility is there could be something stuck in your drum, feel if you could locate it. Next clean out the hoses in machine. After all this flush out with a hot wash, without clothes. People shd ask the service man where the filter is. If he knows that is.......................It gives you the biggest problem if you dont check.

SOURCE: smell while washing only

Like bad eggs ?

Do you have a U bend in the wastepipe that takes the water away from your machine

If not then any smells from the pipe run can come back up the outlet pipe

Once you have ran the machine it flushes away the old water and the smell goes away

SOURCE: Clothes and towels don't smell fresh after washing

If you are sure that the pump is not blocked then try running the machine on a quick wash on its own with a little bleach in the drawer.

After adding the persil powder in the machine I cannot see any foam while the machine is washing plus I don't smell the soap on the clothes as if they are not clean

If you are using the powder or the liquid then you can see if this is used and the condition of the clothes must confirm., If not increase the quantity on the tray.

Don’t wait for the machine to jam to look into your filter.

You can use Affresh to clean your front loader. Deposits of soap and other such things can be stuck around the inside tub of your washer. Try this product, it works great on all front loaders. Use very hot water with the Affresh pellet with no clothes and run the machine through a cycle. Also helps with any stagnant water smells. Put the Affresh pellet inside the machine, not in the soap dispenser.

Ive just brought a re-conditioned bosch classixx washing machine,

boil wash the machine with old towels and powder, 90 degree wash will bring out the bleach in the powder and the old towels will throw the bleach around the tub removing the bacteria that has grown in the tub, the bacteria comes from the washing powder to eat the dirt in clothes and sometimes gets left in the tub and pipes (most people only wash at 40 degrees the bleach wont come out the powder until at least 60 degrees hence the build up and smell). you may have to do this twice to get it smelling good, remove the drawer also and clean off any bacteria with a cloth and spray bleach.

Clothes stink after washed in lg front loading machine

You may have already found a solution, but I had this exact same problem. I ran the tub clean cycle with bleach and then switched to a powder HE detergent. I found some other posts that said that liquid HE detergent has some thing in it that causes that smell and the tub build up (not sure what?). I was hesitant that that could really make a difference but it has. It has only been a week, but so far everything smells great. Definitely worth a try.

Clothes smell......

The following are the methods you can avoid odor in clothes after washing.
  • Check that the drain line is clear
  • Check the drain hose for kinks or blockages
  • Check pump for blockages
  • Check for build up of soap in the outer tub
Good luck. Please do post comments if the problem is still not solved or if there are any doubts in this post.
