LAST FALL IN EDMONTON CANADA WE HAD ALL KINDS OF LONG STRING GREEN ALGIE GROWING IN THE POND. STILL GREEN WHEN WE UNCOVERED POND THIS SPRING. HOW DO WE KILL IT OFF AND KEEP IT OFF THE ROCKS...IT EVEN SEEMS TO GROW AMONGST THE TRAILING PLANTS THAT GO DOWN INTO THE POND.

Remove the string.... split the plastic shroud in half by removing all the screws ( allen ) once the impeller is uncovered remove the center nut with a 3/8 drive air ratchet and remove the impeller then you will be free to remove the string. While you have the impeller off double check the four motor mount screws and make sure they are tight. reassemble.

when the rope broke you first must rewind sring and load tension on it first then install spring while it is underload clamp with vise grips until string is fed through then release slowly allowing string to recoil

I have experienced this same problem and all I needed was to prime the pump. Unless your pump cannot pump up that high.
