Repair your Kenmore Top Load Washer suffering from these following issues: Will Not Advance Past Rinse ...
If ur machine have additives cycle, check whether the solenoid valve (for opening water inlet to the additives' tray) is working or not. You can check this by listening to the sound of water during additive cycle. If it is not working, you have to replace the water inlet valve unit.
These are symptoms of a broken door lock and switch assembly and the only viable solution is replacing the said assembly if no issue is found with the wire harness connections. The machine will not advance to the spin cycle unless the door lock spin switch is activated. This is a safety feature to prevent the door from opening and avoid injuries during the high-speed cycle. Replace the door lock and switch assembly and it should solve the problem. Click on the link below for the detailed instruictions on how to replace the door lock and switch assembly. The part number for the door lock and switch assembly of your machine may be different but the instructions still apply.
Hi Steve just read your posting. Now when it starts to beep a series of lights will light up.Starting from left to right they are numbered 1st on the left=128 next is=64 next is=32 next is =16 next is= 8 next is = 4 next is = 2 next is = 1. So the lights are numbered from left to right 128--64--32--16-- 8-- 4--2--1. now with this information look at the lights that are lit add up the value of the lit lights and reply back and i will look in my service manual and tell you what part or parts are faulty. hope this helps.
