Refrigerator-lights on not cold

I would start by checking to see if the evaporator fanis running . It moves the cold air from the freezer up into the refrigerator compartment

is the fan motor running in the freezer..?if its not locate it an turn fan blade to see if it spins freely retry the frig to see if it works ..is the coil in the freezer frozen up..?if so defrost it completly ..then recheck operation ..let me know ..good luck ..PS you may need to remove covers to get to motor //joe//

Try plugging it in for a few minutes at a time and the setting it off for an hour a few times...this may get it going...

You have a defrost problem.

Make sure the freezer fan motor is running. The wires may have come off when it fell.

Did you let it sit for atleast an hour before you plugged it in?

remove the panel at the reaar of the freezer. you should have a full frost pattern on your evaporator (frosted not snow packed) and the fan should be running. if you do not have a full frost pattern then you have a sealed system leak. covered under the first five years of your warranty

Hi. Make sure all your fans are working. When checking fans, open the door and push the light button in. Some models the fan stops or dampers close when the doors are opened. Put your hand in front of the vent and see if you feel air. Do the same in the refrigerator and freezer. If you feel air from both, check and see of the compressor is running. There is a fan next to the compressor and should be running when the compressor is running. You have a motherboard behind a cover on the back of your refrigerator that controls all of these functions. It could be defective. Motherboard failure is common as well as compressor and evaporator motor failure. Fan Motor failure is common for refrigerators in storage for a long period of time.
