The next time it starts shaking and acting up its the time to have a fuel pressure test, or maybe if you can't remember the last time the fuel filter been chg. do that and see if it dosent run any better. Could be filter getting cloged up, or maybe pump getting weak and dosent show up until its run a while and has got warm.

yr gonna have to get the passlock key and punch it into the radio so u can solve ur problem most chevy dealships can assist you with that.

Engine stalls out and rough starts
FYI for anyone who finds this thread and is researching the same problem- Try this it fixed my problem. take off the AIC and spray it good with INTAKE CLEANER. do not use carb and choke cleaner, then put it back on. next take off the air intake hose. with someone in the vehicle to keep it running and to resart the motor when it dies, (which it will) spray an entire can of the INTAKE CLEANER into the intake with 10 second sprays. try spraying for 10 seconds , then start vehicle and it will prob die. thats ok. a few times with motor off have the person in the vehicle press the gas to open butterfly and spray a whole bunch. let it sit for 2 minutes then start again. repeat these steps untill the whole can is empty. next- THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT- put everything back together and disconnect the positive battery cable for 30 seconds. then put it back and get the motor running again. due to all the intake cleaner and the resetting of the computer it may take a few tries to get it running. once its running smooth take it for a drive and if you can go through a full cycle of driving conditions. example, stop and go , highway ect.. obviously im not responsible if it works or not but i messed with my truck for days untill i came across this advice and it cured my problem. hope it helps someone else.

If you turn key just to On, 3 or 4 times before you try to start, does it seem to fire up better? You might want to start with changing fuel filter first, If problem persists after, stop and take 10 minutes and have fuel pressure tested. Does this happen more so when engine cold, and first start of the day, or does it happen even after vehicle has been driven, stopped and then starting back up again?

I have ran into this problem many times. Insert the key, and turn it to run. After 10 minutes the security lamp should go out. Turn the key off, and then back to run and let it sit another 10 minutes until the security lamp goes out again. Now repeat this one more time for another 10 minutes until the lamp goes out again. This should be a total of 30 minutes so make sure your battery is fully charged when you start the procedure. After the third time and the lamp going out you should be able to restart the vehicle.

You can try this.
Turn on the key and listen for the fuel pump to prime.
It will sound like a gentle hum. when it stops, turn the key off. wait a few seconds and do it again. Do this three or four times, but don't try to start it. after the third or fourth time you turn it off, try to start it. It may not be priming the fuel injectors fast enough.
