on automatically and the light will go out.
When the transfer switch (if equipped) is
turned to the "4L LOCK" position, the

ESP systems (other than ABS) will be canceled automatically. The light will come on and stay on.
• If the ESP systems operate continu-ously such as when driving on slippery roads, the traction control functions of the ESP systems may be canceled temporarily to avoid overheating the brake pads, and the light will come on. After a short period of time, the ESP.

ME ESP LIGHT KEEPS COMING ON ON MY 2010 DODGE JOURNEY. WHAT SHOULD I DO

If the roads have been slippery, then this is normal. If not, you should take your vehicle to a mechanic. It may be a error, and easily fixable, but it also may be something wrong with your stability control, or even something else that works with the ESP, like anti lock brakes. Better to be safe, and get it checked out.

Major clunk coming out of 4 wheel drive on the highway

Check to make sure all of your drive shaft U joints are in good condition. Unless you have a full time 4 wheel drive you shouldn't run on dry pavement in 4 wheel drive for very long as stress builds up in the drive system. 4 wheel drive is best for slippery roads/mud/ dirt conditions.

Abs light and esp light are on in my pegoet 308

If any of four abs sensors is not working then abs light comes up and subsequently affects car's stability (esp). OBD diagnostic scanner will find out that which sensor is causing it. If all sensors are fine then most probably there is a problem with your abs/esp unit in engine bay.
PEUGEOT announced a problem with the 308 vehicles and it has been identified that the operation of the ABS/ESP braking unit may be affected by the ingress of water. Previously, recall are announced to be affected vehicles to reinforce the resistance of the ABS/ESP unit to water.

My susuki grand vataris traction control does not work

double posted, and again no facts:
answer:
what country; better say what city, or state road conditions.?
pavement? ice, snow, ? or only wet pavement.?
In 4wd ? 4H or 4L mode. (never do this on only wet pavement) RTM
is the ESP switch on , or off.?
do tell at watch speed this slides happen 5mph or 100mph on ice.
road conditions, and exactly how it slides.?
eg: im on ice, im in a turn at 45mph in 4H , ESP switch on,
and car slides and the ESP light did not flash. (warning me.)

The ESP is not magic, it cant save , extreme drivers.
say going 100mph in to an iced turn
sure it will try but will fail.
it can brake you
it can shift gears, and cut the throttle (TBW)
it can do lots, but is not magic, it has limits,

what makes you think it does not work.// elaborate fully.?????

Dodge 3500 4/4 makes a snaping sound when in 4\4

If you engage the 4x4 on dry non slippery roads, It will pop and snap. Four wheel drive should only be engaged on slippery or off road conditions.

I have an esp button on my VW should I switch it on in this weather or is it on default?

IMPORTANT NOTE: PERMANENTLY YOU SHOULD LEAVE THE "ESP" BUTTON FREE! It is "ON" by default, and ESP warning lamp on dashboard is turned off.
If you need ESP system deactivation for short time, then push the ESP button. The ESP warning lamp on dashboard will be turned on, for warning you that ESP system is deactivated. Only for short time in few special cases ESP system needs to be deactivated when you need to skid the car to go out of a bad situation, (e.g. to start off on slippery road, to climb on hill slippery road, ...). When you push again the ESP button the ESP system will be activated back, and ESP warning lamp on dashboard will be turned off.
If you don't push the ESP button when driving, and the ESP warning lamp on dashboard will be turned on itself accidentally, the ESP system is faulty and it's not active! Then you need to go at workshop for repair the car!

Please do rate my response. Thanks!

How to put a 95 or 96 jeep cherokee sport in 4 wheel drive. handle is left of the gear shift.

You can change on the run but as a general rule stop to change to 4wd.except 2wd to 4wd high.Just slow down to about 15mph and back off the gas.
2wd high is normal running
4wd high(is full time 4wd)this is slippery roads or muddy roads.
4wd high lock For bad and slower slippery and rocky roads.
4wd low lock is for extreme 4wd conditions
Don't use the last 2 on the main roads or transfercase will be damaged
Hope this helps

i have seen this many times on VW passats which are on the same platform. You may need a new abs control unit. if the abs control unit cannot be scanned by a computer, check all fuses. if abs contol unit is needed, there is aftermarket places that can rebuild them, i recommend factory unit.
