Door locked not open by hand - Hotpoint Aquarius WF220 Front Load Washer

Try with your door open. Also be sure that you can operate it by hand. If not, the motor can't move it either.
Facing the outside of the door, if the hinges are on the right, it's a right-hand door.

There can be many reasons but lets try the most common one first.
No elect power supply to the motor - check circuit breaker supplying elect power to the control box and or DC transformer. Check DC power supply for transformer to control box.
If that is ok adjust the up load turn switch - normally there are two adjusters regulating the open and close forces applied by the motor. If set to sensitive the door will open or close partially or even not at all. Quick check is open the door by releasing the manual lock and lifting the door by hand. Lock the manual lock again, press the door close switch/remote and see if it will close. If it closes the up switch is set to sensitive. Adjust by turning not more than a quarter turn before trying opening the door. If not sure to what side it must be turned turn it fully to the left try - if not working fully to the right and try again. It is however necessary to reduce the setting to a point just enough to open the door with any manual/hand assistance but where it should stop moving if light resistance is encountered such as hand pressure against direction of travel.
Check the remote contol batteries.
Check for some obstacle in the way of the door.
Check if the door is not locked.
Lastly check the micro switch settings on the door motor.
If the problem is not solved manufacturer assistance support.

usual cause is a faulty interlock/ wiring.

to open the door, disconnect the machine from the mains, remove the lid and then put your hand down the right hand side of the door between the door and the drum. you should feel the locking mechanism, there is a manual release, its just a case of feeling for it and its usually a pull

take out plug
take off top of machine 2/3 screws on rear
the door lock is on the right hand side as you stand in front of machine
move the lock by hand then replace it with a new one

-If the problem is that keyless remote does unlock or lock door, but the lock lever still move when pulling up and down by hand. Door still open and close with both inner and outer, then might the driver door lock actuator is bad. The actuator lock and unlock the door for you when using the keyless remote or door lock/unlock switch.

-if you try using the key to unlock door and the key doesn't turn the door cylinder, then you have a bad door lock cylinder.

-if the lock lever doesn't move up or down and you can't open door using any handle, then you got a bad lock latch assembly.

unplug unit take bottom access panel off reach up with hand on right hand side same as latch lock mech. pull down on plastic circle and open door

child safety locks or bent linkage ?

take the kickplate of the machine of and put your hand iside by the door lock , fill a round tab there just pull and the door is going to unlock

i have same problem what i did is try to pull it up an lower it a couple of times buy hand then lower it an kepp locking and unlocking car by remote

The driver's side door lock button is designed not to lock from the inside unless the handle is pulled, or the power switch is used. This serves as a reminder to not lock your keys inside.

If you are inside, and push down on the button (not the switch) hard enough to lock it, you've probably damaged it.
