Audio driver xp2 hp compaq nx7300

You need to download the drivers from the Compaq/HP WEB support/download page. Make sure you select your model laptop and the XP Windows version of the drivers you require and install them.

o check, click windows start button, point to computer, click manage, then look for device manager. If you see an exclamation or "x" mark on your audio device this means that your audio driver is not properly installed.

Uninstall the audio driver then re-intall it again. visit www.hp.com/support and look for your audio driver if you dont have the cd installer.

Go to hp.com Enter your computer number in the search box. A page will come up for you to select the operating system e.g vista,xp or w7 you're using and you'll be able to select the sound driver.

Not sure there is a Win7 version for this notebook. You could try a vista version but I have know idea if it will work so its at your own risk.
