Game Boy Advance SP - Charging Light Won't Display
If the orange-colored charge light on your Game Boy Advance SP is no longer coming on when the A/C Adapter is connected to your system, please use the following troubleshooting steps.
Troubleshooting Steps:
Make Sure the Game Boy Advance SP Isn't Already Fully Charged If the battery is already fully charged, the light will not display when the system is plugged into the AC Adapter. Play a game without using the AC Adapter for at least 10-15 minutes, then plug the AC Adapter in, to see if the light comes on. If it does come on, the battery was fully charged. If the light still does not come on, see Step 2.
Make Sure the Outlet You Are Using Works Plugging another electrical device into the outlet is a good way to check if the outlet works, or that the outlet you are using is not controlled by a nearby light switch. You may also want to try a different outlet.
Try a Different Licensed AC Adapter If the charging light doesn't display, try a different AC Adapter, if possible, to determine if perhaps the problem is with the adapter.
If a different AC Adapter works, you will need to get a replacement AC Adapter from our Online Store, or by calling our Consumer Service Department at 1-800-255-3700.
If a different AC Adapter doesn't work, or if a replacement AC Adapter is not available and the lights will not display, we recommend having your Game Boy Advance SP repaired. Check out our convenient repair options.
Note: Please be sure to include both the Game Boy Advance SP and the AC Adapter with any repair
Step one - insert the pins at the times you want the night light to come on and go off. The green pins will turn on the night light and the red pins will turn it off. If you just want one on time and one off time just use one pin of each color.
After you have the pins inserted, set the correct time on the timer and plug it into an outlet that is always on [not one that is controlled by a wall switch].
The override switch will turn the device off if it is on, but just one time. As the next time it turns on it will once again be controlled by the times.
If ou want the night light to come on and off in the evening and again in the morninng, use two green pins and two red pins. Push in a green pin at each time where you want the night light to come on and push in a red pin at each time you want it to go off.
do you have the correct lamp? the x1a takes an sp-lamp-009, that has 2 white wires, and not the more common sp-lamp-018 which looks exactly the same except has one white and one red wire (and are in different plug positions). if it still doesn't light, there is another issue (possibly the colorwheel) along with the lamp timer reset.
it does not seems to charge / or turn ON either from the computer or when plugged to an electrical outlet to the wall. Red light is still ON after the whole night . What's wrong ?? Can you please HELP - CODY STELLER MINE IS A 4 GIGA BITE MP4 PLEASE HELP ONLY
It is the battery, I have a similiar Vector light for a few years and tried re-charging the battery but only the little LED light would come on. I have another Vector light, same model and switched batteries from the worjking one to the non-working one and now it works fine.
I then proceeded to purchase a new battery for the non'working one and when I arrived home I installed it and turned on the main light, still won't turn on, I tried the LED's, they work. I figured maybe the new battery needs a good charge so I plugged the charger in and charged the light for 12 hours, still no main light.
I guess the new battery is defective, so now I will return it and exchange it for another one.
Well.. I have to plug in the charger that came with the dv-179. If I use my Phone (motorola usb) charger, or a USB cable (into the computer or a hub), all it does is light up the back red light (and not the front 'self timer' led) and does not charge the camera. So remember, if the back led lights up, you've got the wrong charger!
