My volume touch pad does not work correctly with my volume icon on my desktop. By this I mean: The blue lights that turn off and on when you turn down or up the volume do not work correctly. I will have it turned completely down and the volume icon if i go over it, it will say volume: 92. instead of saying volume: 0. and vise versa.

Yes mine did that too, i believe that it has something to do with messing with the volume before the drivers load, that means that if you mess with the volume in a different operating system, during boot, at the welcome screen, or during shutdown....you miss align the pad lights with the OS volume level, so next time you shut down drop your vol. in the software to ZERO, then on startup get the touch pad to ZERO, (not mute) before windows fully loads and you login

When I type a text message the keys make a noise. I have turned it off via settings but doesn't seem to stop it ! Please help it is driving me insane!

Hi My Name is Chris

Real simple, go to setting, go to Volume, you should see a blue options window labeled Volume. At the bottom of you screen should be an option for system. Turn this volume slider all the way down and your key pad will no be silent. The down side to this is that every key or icon you touch will be silent. :-(

My hp pavilion dv6000 touch pad locked up, it no longer responds.

Hi,

Try pressing the button above the touchpad to make the light blue, that should re-enable the touchpad again.

My Hp Laptop's touch pad is not reponding to touch. Please help me. The curser reponds but not the touch reponse. The touch pad reaponds to scrolling but not to finger tappings. The two right and left bars...

there is a key combination that enables/disables the touch pad. it's the Fn key + the function key that shows a little mouse icon in blue at the top of your keyboard. on Fujitsu this would be Fn+F6 for instance. if this doesn't work, it is possible that the touch pad has been turned off in the BIOS setup. you will have to enter the BIOS and enable or automate the "internal pointing device"

Touch pad not working not sure if correct driver is instslled or a mechanical issue.

I'm assuming this is a laptop and not a desktop, since I've never seen a touch pad on a desktop....but unless you've had some work done to it in the past...i.e. new keyboard/hdd/memory where it could have been disconnected from the logic board, your touch pad has gone bad, and will need to be replaced...or you can pick up a much cheaper mouse and use with the unit.

My mouse has stopped working on my acer laptop

Hi,
Do you mean the touchpad or a USB mouse? if its a usb mouse try another usb port, is it wireless? if its wireless check the battery.
if its the touchpad it may be turned off, to turn it on hold down the blue FN button and look at the F1 to F12 keys, one of them has a touchpad icon and it will disable and enable the touch pad, don't worry if your not sure try them all if you wish. You will probably learn something new while your doing it :-)

Cursor Will Not Stay Put

Try uninstalling the drivers from the device manager, then do a hardware search. It will automatically find the touch pad and reinstall the drivers. If this doesn't work, then check the connector under the keyboard. Disconnect it and reconnect it, they sometimes work loose. If these don't correct the problem, then you have a faulty touch pad and you'll have to replace it.
