The dirt container and the filter cap that goes on top of it do not close completely, therefore you can't use the "carry handle" or the whole thing falls apart. I need to replace one or both of these parts, but what are they called? And what is their part numbers?

You bought that air purifier to help to clean the air in your home. However you have forgotten about it and now you expect it to still clean, when all of the cleaning surfaces and the filter that catches the big chunks are completely used up and covered with dust and dirt.
Here is what you need to do on a regular, like monthly, basis to keep it working well.
If your unit has a filter or pre-filter pull it out and wash it gently in some warm soapy water. If the filter is a throw away one then place it in a plastic bag and dispose of it. Be careful not to throw it away before you make sure you know what to get to replace it. You may need the old one for comparison when purchasing a new one. Also take note of how you removed it and the direction of the air flow. Some of the filters are made to have the air flow in a certain direction. The filter is often located in the back side at the bottom of the unit.
Take apart everything that you can on the air purifier and clean all the pieces with a moist cloth. You may need to take toothpick or something small to clean out the small grooves and crevices in the unit.
Leave everything dry completely before reassembling the unit. This may take quite a while for some of the filter media. A few hours is not uncommon, be patient.
You now will have your air purifier working in top condition again
A powerful vac motor needs lots of air throughput to keep it cool. Some vac motors have a separate air intake and exhaust for cooling air but the majority rely on the same air that passes through the cleaner and sucks up the ash or dirt. These rely on effective filters to keep damaging ash or dirt out of the motor.
While a blocked filter reduces suction and cuts the flow of cooling air, a displaced filter allows ash or dirt into the motor and if early action isn't taken to remedy the situation by cleaning the motor, the life of the motor will be seriously reduced.
The most effective method of motor cleaning after dismantling is by a jet of compressed air...

A common problem with roller/beaters is hair caught in the bearings on the ends of the roller. The roller is removable and requires regular cleaning or the belt will be destroyed.
The clicking noise is the sound of the high ionizing voltage 'shorting' due to dirt or humidity or both which provides the pathway for discharge. Cleaning and completely drying the filter(s) does not always help, in this case switching the unit to a lower operational speed can mitigate this problem. New filter(s) may be needed to resolve the clicking.
It's not a air purifier! It's a vacuum cleaner!
