Phone wont boot, held down power button and bottom buttons light up 15 times and then vibrates. tried to reset it by using "volume down and power button" and nothing happens. hooked phone up to computer, and it tells me "error code 10 device wont start". it won't even go to the boot screen
Try holding volume Up and volume down together then the power button----hold all three until vibration starts.......that should get you to a factory reset.

you can hold down the power button and volume down button together. eventually it will give you the option to reset. use volume down to select it then hit power again.
Assuming you've tried pulling the battery and booting it again, you could try doing a hard reset on the phone (this would erase all data on the phone), by starting up the phone while holding down the volume up button while turning the phone on, waiting until you get a white screen with 3 skateboarding androids on it, and select clear storage (use the up/down volume buttons to move the cursor, power button to select), then volume up to confirm. If the phone still won't boot up after doing that, you're going to have to take it to a store, as that boot menu is the only thing that you can get to come up if it won't boot all the way up.

A hard reset would be in order...just remember to remove your microSD memory card to avoid it possibly being erased. Here is what you do. Power down the phone. Press the volume down and the power button at the same time and hold them until you see the HTC logo. A white screen will come up with menu options. Press volume down until you get to factory reset. Press the power button the the phone will restore to factory settings.

..hm I suppose you installed some new sofware or tried to tune up something in the registry entries, isnt it? First try to unistall the latest software and if it does not help then you have to make a hard reset:
Click Start > Expert > Clear Storage. Follow the on-screen instructions to reset the phone.
or:
Power off your device Press and hold both softkeys nearest the screen Press the power button (you should see a black screen confirming this reset) Release the two soft keys Press the Green Phone button Wait untill the clean boot is finished...
I just had this happen to me yesterday. I fought with my phone for about 3 hours removing the battery and trying to restart it. It would take about 5 minutes for it to finally boot and once it did the touch screen would not work. So I did a hard boot and within 5 minutes my phone was back to normal. I lost all my contacts but I just did a restore with the backup software. To do a hard boot hold down the red and green buttons on the front of the phone and push the reset button on the bottom of the phone with the stylus. The reset button is on the right side of the power/usb plug. As I said my phone was back to normal in just a few minutes.
