Note that when you change the battery the time keeping chip seems to assume that the hands are already at noon, and will stay perpetually off. The wave ceptor function will keep the digital watch synchronized with the atomic clock at Fort Collins, and the hands will be off by that original error. When you change the battery, you need to set the digital time manually (see the online pdf of the operating instructions), then set the hands. For setting the hands, again, see the online pdf of the operating instructions. Note that it involves pressing the "C" button 5 times, then... you need the manual in front of you.

Casio wave ceptor hands running 8 minutes slow. Digital clock showing correct time. Hands 8 minutes slow even if I change time manually.

You may need to recalibrate the hands. Sometimes the hands are out of sync with timekeeping. Go to the Casio website, download the manual for your model, and follow instructions for resetting the position of the hands (might be referred to as zeroing or recalibaration).

Oh, one additional thing about my CASIO 'WAVE CEPTOR' watch: After I got (finally) the manual and set up the watch, it set the DIGITAL display to the correct time & date, but the ANALOG display re-set...

You can align the analogue time with the digital time by pressing the mode button until you reach the hand setting position (HS) and then press one of the right hand buttons to change the hand position.

(Check out this with the instructions- it is all there!)

Put new battery in wave cepor now can't get it in proper time zone. # on back, boxed [2735] WVA-105H

It may well be that the digital time displayed on the LCD is correct, but the hands (referred to as analog time in the manual) do not match.
If this is the case, to set the so called analog time:
Press the lower left button six times to enter HS (hand setting) mode.
Then press and hold the upper left button until the display starts to flash.
You can now use the two buttons on the right to move the hands forward or backwards to exactly the same ime as the digital LCD display.
When finished adjusting the hands press the upper left button one last time to exit.

Casio 3747 Wave Ceptor is 3 hours 52 minutes behind...

Paste this link into your browser and download pdf file:

http://ftp.casio.co.jp/pub/world_manual/wat/en/qw3747.pdf

Read carefully about Radio-controled time keeping and other related chapters.
If after performing all the required operations your watch still does not work properly, you have some kind of fault in the Integrated Circuitboard and will need to seek for watchmakers help- probably an IC replacement.

Casio wave ceptor 3747

Use this link to read Direct Casio manual:

http://ftp.casio.co.jp/pub/world_manual/wat/en/qw3747.pdf

I suggest you may need to wait till the first signal is received by watch.
If all this doesn't work, then check the battery condition- it may be underpowered and need replacement. Eve if your watch is brand new, the battery may be few years old.
