NEC DTU-16D Phone
I can enter programming mode and find the port/extension.
How do I program a headset button on this phone? The other users - same phone - have a headset button, but some phones do not. Can I copy from a phone that does have a button?
For the DTU phone on an NEC Elite system:
Memory Block 4-12
put in the port number and the Lkey of the extension you want to make a headset key.
Programmin on a 16button phone, Lkey 11 needs to be lit and will display H SET to verify.
For the DTP phone, it is generally on an NEC 2000, which is entirely different.

I have the same problem for an NEC DTP 16D, very similar phone, I need to program a headset button.
So is there a solution to this ?
How do you what port number to put in ?
On other phones in the office when I recall what is stored in the button all that comes up is "HEAD SET", there must be a default memory location in the phone that has this stored...
Port number ???
