Trying to get ps2 to play on new tv..

Hi, these are reasons or problems that can affect ps2 color.

Its the model games your downloading. the unloaded didn't upload it right.
The problem would have to be your PS2. When you modded it, the PS2 must have had something changed in it.
That thing that you changed may not allow it to read the color on certain PS2 games. You either have to buy a new PS2, or figure out what you did wrong when you modded it.

its something with the chip u used... i did the same thing and replaced it and im working fine now... u should think about getting magic swap... requires no modding to play station and i hear from people that it works well

The thing in the back that hooks up to the back of the tv or cable connection needs to be changed

This may sound stupid and completely obvious, but mine occasionally play without color as well. Try jiggling the RGB cable from the back of the console.

because its the way they made them the only difference is the type of film they use other tha that game play is still the same

go to game stop or a game shop 4 them to fix or it might be that your psp had been dropped or something that happened to it .

Dust out the unit with a can of "dust-off" radio shack and walmart sell it

Also , clean the laser lens ( that very small clear bulb thing on the disk reader) with a swab of 90% rubbing alcohol then wipe it dry with another

Be VERY gentle with the swab thing

ps1 game dont work on the ps2 try ps2 games they will work

Im no tecnition but i would say its got to do with somthing in the RAM or on board memory because the loading screen is the only time that a ps2 would store information onit self rather than reading

I had one a Slim I was repairing tonight that had the same problem.  The motherboard was shot. The processor on the motherboard was cooking hot only seconds after I triied to get it to boot up.

Well, what types of connections does your new TV have compared to the old one? Perhaps you're connecting it correctly but you're not selecting that input from the TV's menu? Be sure to double check the cables you are using to be sure they are hooked up correctly. Sometimes it's the simplest mistakes! Good luck. 

you should buy one of those laser disks to clean the laser and inside of the ps2 so it will work again cause mine had same problem and i used that and after it worked
