1991 Toyota Pickup - wont start....battery is ok

faulty starter relay, faulty starter, faulty starter switch, (not to be confused with key switch), how do you know your battery is ok? it could lose its charge overtime/have a dead cell, might have enough energy for lights, but not a high draw thing like a starter. Make sure your battery has 12.5 volts, 13.5 volts being nice and fully charged. check battery connections at both ends, battery and starter ends.

Battery fully charged, car wont start, cant remove key, 2004 cadillac cts

There is a magnetic switch on the 'park' position. The car only starts or releases the key in 'park' is enabled. Maybe this switch is not working! Try to replace it!

Starter wont turn.

Hi and welcome to the site,

Initially, have the battery externally charged, checked and load tested.

Offhand, if the battery is fully charged/new and:
  • the electrical is completely dead, check the main fuse inside the starter relay;
  • if there is just a clicking sound, check, bypass (test), replace the starter relay;
  • if there is no clicking sound, check the start button switch, the engine ON/OFF switch, the sidestand and/or the clutch switch.
Of course if bypassing the starter relay and still the starter motor will not spin, then possibly a starter motor concern or more particularly the carbon brushes and/or the commutator segments.

Good luck and thank you for asking.

Turnover problem with toro 16-42z riding mower

A fully charged battery should read a minimum of 12.65, if it does not and connections and grounds are dirty then that's your problem. Start with a none fully charged battery.If you can bypass the solenoid and start it then the culprit is the solenoid. Good luck. donnyb60
