The only troubleshooting step I can offer here, is unplug it, and press the power button down for about 15-20 seconds, to flush any trickle power remaining in the unit. Then plug it back in, hook it up and try turning it on again. If this solves it, great! If it doesn't though, then I would check either with HP directly or with your place of purchase to see if your issue can be covered under limited/extended warranty. If you are out of warranty though, LCD repairs tend to jump pretty high, and usually end up being more than what the monitor is worth, so it may be more economical to replace it at that stage.
Un-plug the monitor from the computer. Leave it plugged in to the electric outlet. turn on the monitor. If you get a "Self Test" you may need to re-set your video card. If you don't get a self test you may need a new monitor
I unplugged it, held the power button for 20 seconds, plugged it back in, and ta-da! It turned on! Thank you!!!!
1. unplugged the power cord for 20 seconds (actually went a little longer)
2. Held down the # and 6 keys together and then plugged the power cord back in (still holding the keys).
3. held down # and 6 for about 10 more seconds after plugging the power cord back in and didn't get any messages but once and release them It was able to turn the power on.
The printer then printed an alignment page
hope it works, if so do rate the solution
