An encapsulated PostScript (EPS) file does not print with the correct fonts. Cause Solution This problem occurs with some programs. ? Try downloading the fonts that are contained in the EPS file to the device before printing. ? Send the file in ASCII format instead of binary encoding.

Do the colour prints when printing RGB look all right?

If so, the printer is working.

What sort of CMYK are you trying to print? CMYK EPS prints, maybe?

If so, the the fault is one of not using the correct software; the printer is working, it is just not interpreting the encapsulated PostScript to reproduce a CMYK image. Use different software capable of reading CMYK EPS files. Photoshop is one such piece of software.

Replace the toner cartridge.

Depends on what you mean by "reset".
If you're referring to the waste ink counters, you can either:

1. Locate a copy of the AdjProg service utility and use that to reset the waste counters
   Note: Will not work on MacOS or Windows 8

2. Download the WICReset (for windows) or iWIC (for MacOS) and purchase a WICReset key to reset the waste ink counter that way.
   
   

Whatever you do, remember that resetting doesn't deal with the waste ink inside the pads so you should be looking at changing the pads (not easy to do yourself) or fitting an external waste ink tank like a printer potty.

No you need functioning colour cart for black to work.

Try updating the drivers for the printer from the manufacturers web site. I doubt the issue is related to the printer itself, otherwise it would fail to print magenta all the time.
