Black spot screen

Make sure its not dirt
if its not then if it really affects your mobile usage, then consider replacing the screen

LCD screen is damaged - repair probably very expensive.

OK, the fact that you only notice the the lines and spots on the lcd itself, means that the lcd itself is damaged. This is most likely due to an internal crack on the lcd. I would suggest you get the screen replaced at your nearest camera repair centre.

Are these flash pictures? Are the spots in different places on each picture? If the answer to both questions is yes, the spots are dust particles in the air reflecting the flash back into the lens.

That's happened to various devices of mine. Did you try pressing on the screen with your finger where the black dots are? Sometimes that works for me when screens have "stuck" pixels.

Those sound like dead pixels as a result of the fall.

you need to make sur about something:
the black spot, is it a dead pixels?
if it's not, canon will fix it for you free of charge as it could be a CCD problem.

Well, not sure if you got it resolved yet but the same thing happened to me. Brought it back and got it fixed under warranty. You'll most likely see more gray circles appear over time. They don't affect the picture but they are annoying.

I would call the company anyway and complain! A lot of times they will fix the product Free of charge if you have ran over your warranty (screen will need replaced!)

My Nikon was having the same problem with the stationary black spot. I used a can of Dust Off ( the original compressed gas duster). I just removed the lens and held the camera upside down (lens facing the floor) and blew my compressed air inside and my black spot disappeared. Just a thought you might like to know !! Good luck.
