How do you know that it is lock, in my experience cursor can become defective in time and need to be replace. check in control panel> keyboard if there is an option for you there to unlock it. there are also built in controls in some laptop which makes part of keyboard disabled when external mouse/keyboard/touchpad is present try first to remove those

Hello, I have an old Acer Aspire 3680, the problem is once i press the power button the screen is frozen displaying only the Acer logo, i cannot even go to the BIOS (pressing F2) to change my setting to boot from a CD. Please help. THX

There should be a soft key just above the cursor pad. You will need to turn that on. This will unlock the cursor. Good luck

My laptop is locked how can I unlock it

You must shut down the computer first. Turn it on, and repeatedly tap F8 and enter safe mode. From there on, click on administrator, and when Windows loads up, click Start> Control Panel> User accounts> Choose an account> remove password.

Try holding the Fn key and tap F9. this should unlock the touchpad.

Computer Administrator is hwere you have your name for the computer if not have this put in right when signing on , Your computer will not start.
