Wrong Region error.

Its not possible to change the region of the tv. On the back is a plate which shows you what region the tv supports. I suggest you find dvds and etc which the tv can play. Or you can try taking off the region code on the dvd file, but this is not strictly legal.

Please follow the instructions below for unlocking your Philips HTS 3371

Please note: Unlocking a DVD player may invalidate the warranty. Unlock sequences may not work with some firmware updates and some DVD players have been damaged through failed attempts to unlock them. Unlocking your DVD player is done at your own risk.


1. Switch the DVD player ON
2. OPEN the disc tray
3. Key 9 9 9 9 0 using the Philips remote control supplied with the player
4. Press PLAY. The disc tray will close.
5. Switch the player OFF then switch ON again.
6. To test, play a disc from a region which was previously locked.

If it does not work the first time, switch the player off and back on, then try again.

This is a verified unlock method, but I was unable to confirm whether it works for players sold locked to Region 1 (North America). If you have a Region 1 player and the method above does not work, you will not be able to unlock your player.

ur dvd player has region lock . it will not play all the disk. check the DVD OF STAR WARS MOVIE which region it belongs. jus try the following not sure is it work or not

Open the tray. Press 99990 on the remote.
by doing this ur dvd player will become region free
then insert ur dvd and try.
for region 1 and region 2 code is 99991 ,99992 respectively.

People seem to have said that there isn't a region hack for the HTS 6120, but I did mine yesterday by just following the standard Philips steps:

1) Turn on
2) Eject
3) Enter 99990 OK
4) Turn off (Standby)

Works fine now for region 1 and 2 (I don't have any DVDs from other regions).

Most philips units can be easily converted (sometimes so easy you just dont want to know)

What you are going to search for is "philips region free hack" or "hts 660 region free hack"

I am unsure of FIXYA policy for providing the information directly so I gave you the words I would use to find what you want

If you are given an ISO file to download then tjis must be burned to a cd first

I agree that the region thing should be banned and customers should have the choice

Open Tray
Place different zone DVD into player tray
Press 99990
Press Play

Enjoy

With your set on and without disc in the tray:

1. Press PLAY from your remote control
2. Press the following button sequence: 1590 2379 390
3. Press PLAY again

This will release the region verification in your home theater (region free). However, some DVDs (multiregion in particular) will not play, since they require region detection from the player unit.

I have a region Code For A Philips HTS-3544 which is 1 model Down. You can try it, it may work or it May Not.
Heres How:- power on the TV/DVD without any disk in the player.Press open/close eject.
Press Stop 7.3.4.4.6.6 ( on the Remote )
The menu code appears On The Screen.
Press 0 for region Free, or the region Code Required.
Power Off and then on Again, if the codes have worked, your dvd player is now region free.

Press "Door Open"
- after the door opens perform the following sequence with the remote control:

Press STOP-7-3-4-4-6-6

a Region settings page will be displayed showing the current region on the TV (usually the default is region 1), using the remote control select the region number by pressing the number on the remote (select region 0 for region free) and press OK.
