(With the Device plugged in.)

Try going to MY COMPUTER. On the left side, there should be a scroll. Scroll down until you see GPX. Double Click. Then double click on REMOVABLE STORAGE, Double click on MUSIC and you should be able to rearrange items from there.

What I Do:
Once there, I look at the scroll on the left again. I open the folders of the bands and highlight all the songs in the folder and drag them to the left hand scroll and deposit them into the MUSIC folder.

How to put music

To copy music files onto your device:
  1. Connect your MP3 player to your computer using your USB cable. Switch your MP3 player to the MTP mode by pressing the power button located on the top of your player. When the USB symbol disappears your MP3 player is in the MTP mode.
  2. Opening your GPX audio player folder by clicking 'Start' on your computer.
  3. Click on 'Start'.
  4. Double Click on the 'GPX MTP Device' icon.
  5. Double Click on 'Removable Storage'. Minimize your 'Removable Storage' window.
  6. Open your 'My Music' folder by again clicking on 'Start' and then click on your 'My Music' folder. Choose an album or individual songs from this folder. With both your 'My Music' and 'GPX MTP Device Removable Storage' folder open. Drag an album or individual song from your 'My Music' folder into your 'Removable Storage' folder.

Cant drag the music from Windows Media player to the device

hey, dear sir,as we known, the WMV and WMA format from Microsoft have become very common in music download services. However, in this area, they always include DRM protection, that prevents illegally duplication.Songs bought from different companies will have different DRM protection that can restrict you from playing songs on incompatible players.

So now you could undershand why the music in your computer didn't recognize de device but you run the sync and said ok.what can we do ? you only need some removal software to solve this problem . here is a tutorial about how to remove drm from the music from windows media player.hope it will helpful for you

Can a gpx ML658B play continuously, folder by folder, or do you have to shuffle to hear all songs?

This is determined by the play mode. When playing a song press the MODE button on the side of the player. Then select PLAY MODE. Then choose which option best suits you. Repeat All will play through all of your folders and sub folders and Random will play anything randomly as far as I've been able to tell.

My GPX ML648S 2 gigabite MP3 player won't shuffle.

I had this problem as well. The only real solution I've found is to open up MY COMPUTER and go into the device. From there you can transfer all the music into one folder.
There is a RANDOM setting on the player but it will only randomize the songs within the folder you are listening to.
To put the player on RANDOM play a song, and press the button on the side of the player, select PLAY MODE and choose RANDOM.
Hope this was helpful.

I cant load videos or music on my GPX ML658B Audio player

Video
Video files must be .AMV formatted to work on this MP3 player. Below is a link to an amazing converter. It’s FREE and will convert your entire file.
http://in.answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20070610062401AAZXp2P

Once you have the video files formatted to .AMV
  1. plug your MP3 player into the computer
  2. Go to MY COMPUTER.
  3. Find your .AMV VIDEO
  4. Drag file to the Scroll Bar on the left, hold the file over the GPX DEVICE
  5. Two folders will appear under it. Put file into ALBUMS
To then access videos put onto the device. Hold the MODE BUTTON on your MP3 player until you are returned to your menu screen. Scroll to MOVIES and your videos will be there. :D To return to listening to music or looking at Pictures, hold the MODE BUTTON and simply select your desired destination.

This player requires Windows Media Player 11 to transfer music files.

GPX ML648B wont shuffle -- not an option?

There is a RANDOM option. But I've found that it is restricted by folder. It's best used when you've moved all your music into one folder.
To turn this option on,
1. play a song
2. press the button on the side
3. select PLAY MODE
4. Choose RANDOM

Random play feature

Try going in to your player and creating a playlist.Go into your player through " My computer". When it brings up your main folders, right click on the music folder and click create playlist. All the songs you have will be bunched into one playlist.

Then while your player is paused, hit mode, scroll to the playlist you created and then set it to random play from there. Should work.

What????

The easiest way to back up your songs is to connect the mp3 player to the computer. Double-Click on "My Computer". Double-click on the GPX icon. Double click on the music folder. Then, right-click your desktop and select New --> Folder. Choose a name for your folder. Drag the songs from the Music folder to the new folder you have just created.
