Unfortunately the D-Link Print Servers are secure and cannot be reset without the password. The unit will have to be sent to D-Link to be reset.

if you do not know what the current IP is, try using the mapping in Vista Network and Sharing center, your security suite, or log into your router and look for attached devices (also the drivers that are already installed for the printer should show the IP Port

Plug the print server in the back of your computer using the ethernet port. Insert the setup cd into the same computer. Assign an IP address for you print server using 10.10.10.xxx. xxx=available address number on your network. If it requires the gateway address use 10.10.10.1 if that is the correct address of your Linksys router.

You can verify the correct router address from your computer. Make sure your computer is connected to the network (not the print server) and go into the control panel. Select Network Connections. Move the mouse to you network card. Press the right mouse button and select status. The gateway address is your router address.

Try to log in with "admin" as the P/W (without the quotes.

You may use the PSAdmin software to configure your print server even if you don't know the IP address. The only requirement is that the DP-300U has to be in the same network (subnet) as your PC running PSAdmin. In the PSAdmin, you will then be able to view or change the IP address.

Remember that if you also have forgotten the Admin password, you will have to ship the unit to D-Link in order to have it factory reset.
