Came home and most everything in the freezer was thawed (a mess). Frig side was warm as well 50 deg F. Turned the thermostat much colder and frig fired up next morning below freezing in the frig side. Turned thermostat down some... that night back up to 45 deg F. Frig is approx. 13-15 years old side by side, Kenmore with Ice and water in the door approx. 21 cu ft. Any ideas... Is it worth fixing???
Sounds like the defrost timer is not working correctly or the start capacitor is malfunctioning,Both are cheap and easy fixes.
