The screen is black. It sounds like its starting up but nothing shows up on the screen. I plugged it into my tv and there was still nothing. Help?

There is no backdoor password, you'll have to take it to an authorized Toshiba repair center.
You can find one here.
They usually charge about 100 to remove the password, BUT if you keep insisting that you didn't set the password they'll probably remove it for free shhhh ;)

Hello.
Boot your system to Safe Mode (press F8 repeatedly). Go to System Restore and choose a date when your system worked OK. Note: with System Restore, everything, including your documents and other files you saved on the hard drive, will roll back to that date.

You may find the memory is faulty. I don't know why they fail but I have had a few. The microprocessor requires memory to "build" the programme and screen.
Try replacing it with a known good and similar specification memory.
