The soap packet dispenser is not releasing the soap when it goes through the cycle.

When we run the dishwasher, the soap packet is not being released. I open the door at the end of the cycle and a mangled packet falls. I have tried the normal cycle, the smart cycle and the quick cycle....replacing soap each time. Same thing every time! Appliance is 1 month old.

I had the same problem. My solution was to remove the bottom portion of the inside of dishwasher to reveal the cutting blade under the washer impeller. There was a small obstruction blocking the cutting blade and impeller. I removed this, a small piece of plastic im my case, and re-assembled. It washes well now ! Note: be careful seperating the parts there are 'o' rings that can be easily stretched out fo shape between parts.

I have a whirlpool gu2400 dishwasher. The spring loaded soap dispenser door does not open during the wash cycle to release the soap.
Whirlpool dishwashers use a wax motor or a solinoid to release the door at a specific time during the cycle. So for proper cleaning the soap cup is nessesary . The part isn't that expensive and fairly simple repair.

Soap dispenser doesn't open
How many cycles have you attempted? It may take a few cycles before the detergent pack becomes soft enough to run out and allow the latch to function properly.

if the water is being sprayed around inside the dishwasher and the soap will not come out of the cup than yes you need a new dispenser.

The soap is not opening during the cycle. We have tried new soap, hot water running before the cycle, little soap, you name it we do it. The only way my dishes get clean is not to shut the soap dispenser.
I have the same problem! Just in the past few days -- UGH! I am highly disappointed in this dishwasher. I read that the failure to release the door is due to soap and hard water build-up. So, I've sprayed the entire soap dispenser unit with vinegar. Hopefully that will help!

Tried to replace bosch soap dispenser model shu3036uc/u12
Wire positioning doesn’t matter to soap dispenser. If water is leaking from the door then the dispenser is not pressed in properly against its seal. As far as the door not opening if wires are connected perhaps the problem is in the control module. Voltage meter on wiring to dispenser should indicate this while machine is running at start of quick wash cycle. (First 5 minutes of cycle on heating)

Soap packets don't melt/disolve
sounds as if you amy have a problem with the dispensor door not opening correctly perhaps opening at end of cycle when all water is already released.Ive seen that sometimes the "tabs" or "packets of detegent are too tall and interfere with normal opening of the latch mechanism. manufacture would reccommend using powder instead.
