Can I replace the glass on the display? It still works but glass is broken from drop.

As you suspect, this simply does not happen unless the LCD panel has had a physical impact. The LCD units are stress tested when manufactured and the odd ones which crack "all of a sudden" would do so within a few months of manufacture and then get replaced under manufacturer's warranty. The broken glass which you see is the cracked LCD unit and it's behind an outer plastic protective cover.
The only way to fix it is to replace the LCD panel, but it's not a DIY job and repairs will cost more than the camera is worth. The M637 will only be about two years old but it was a budget model to start with so it would be cheaper to buy a fully functional used equivalent camera. There are even brand new models of similar or better specification which will be cheaper than a repair.
If the camera works "as is" then it may be better to put up with the fault until the camera no longer works.
