The administrator account on a Windows machine is the main, root user name that gives full access to the machine.
Administrators should change this password frequently to avoid unauthorized access to the domain or desktop machine.
This can be done in the Windows Control Panel, or use the "net user" command in the Windows DOS prompt.
Log in to the machine using the administrator username and password.
You can also use an account that has administrator privileges on the domain or desktop computer.
Click the Windows "Start" button and select "Run" or "Start Search" (depending on your version of Windows).
In the text box displayed, enter "cmd" and press the "OK" button.
This opens the command prompt window.
Type "net user administrator <new password>" into the command prompt.
Replace "<new password>" with the password you want to set.
Enter the password again for confirmation.
Once you enter it again, the administrator password has been changed.
Test the new password by rebooting the machine and logging in with the new administrator password.

dont give anyone your ip adress, contact your internet provider to fix problem,if you are using someone elses wifi you will have that problem, use your own
The first step in the
troubleshooting process is to check the TCP/IP settings. You can check
it by using the IPCONFIG/All command on the command prompt. You will
see the configuration results. If you see a blank configuration for a
card this means then the card is not assigned any IP address. You can
assign the IP address manually or via DHCP server. If you are using the
DHCP server for assigning the IP addresses then you can use the
following commands to get and release the IP address.
IPConfig/Release
IPConfig/Renew
IPConfig/All
If the computer is still
unable to obtain an IP address, then there are several things that can
causing this problem such as bad network cable or NIC card, DHCP server
might have assigned all the IP addresses from its pool, mis-configured
TCP/IP settings, incorrect user name and password. You can try to add a
new well configured machine to the replace the malfunctioning machine
to see if the new machine is working with its settings. Also see if the
driver of the NIC is properly installed or not. In case of driver's
problem go to the vendor's website and install a new exact driver for
the NIC.
The Default Gateway and the Primary DNS should be 192.168.2.1
Once that is done.
Login to router Setup : http://192.168.2.1
Click DMZ under firewall
Leave the password blank and click submit
Enter the static IP you assigned
Click apply changes
And thats it, The device that has the static IP is now in the DMZ
Hope it helps

Might I suggest looking at the routers configuration. This can be done by typing in 192.168.1.1 into your web browser. Typically the default log in is: User Admin, Password is password. You want DHCP set on. Save all your settings. Then reset to factory default. There should be a reset button on the router. This will reset it to when it was new- any changes you made will be gone. .
Please access its ip address for you to log your router and set the password of your password. Usually the default IP Address is 192.168.1.254 so goto the internet Explorer then type the ip above in the address with \\192.168.1.254 then press enter to go to the setting of your router. Note if you change the IP Address of your Router then you have to type the IP Address you assign in your Router. Thanks
You can connect your expander to your PC via ethernet cable and then assign a static IP address on your PC.
To assign a static IP address, just double-click on the monitor icon on the lower right hand corner of your PC and then view status and go to properties. Look for TCP/IP v4 and click properties.
Select use the following IP address:
192.168.1.2 255.255.255.0
and then click OK.
After successfully assigning an IP address to your PC, let's test the connectivity by going to command prompt.
Go to Start>Run>and then type cmd and hit Enter. Once you're on the black screen type ping 192.168.1.240. If you get replies then your good to go...
Let's now access the Web UI of the you Wireless expander. Open a browser and then type on the address bar 192.168.1.240 and then hit enter.
It will prompt you with WRE54G's username and password. Just type the password to login to the Web UI. The default password is admin.
Once your on the Setup page, you have to configure your settings exactly the same as your wireless router (e.g. wireless security, IP address range) except for the SSID. You may want to change the SSID on your WRE54G for you to easily identify where your wireless computer is connected.
You can leave the WRE54G's IP address to 192.168.1.240 if your wireless router's IP address is on the same range like 192.168.1.x
Then on the Gateway address type your router's IP address. If you're also using Linksys the default IP address usually is 192.168.1.1
Then you can configure your wireless settings same as your router. After that, same the settings and see if the light on the WRE54G becomes BLUE. If yes, then you're good to go! You can unplug the PC from the WRE54G and then set your PC's IP address back to Obtain an IP Address Automatically. See static IP address procedure above.

Hi kt_rutherfor, Firstly apologies for my late reply. I thought that this was going to be a firewall problem, but looking at your error again, I now dont think that. So I'm afraid that I dont know the answer to this, I do have an idea, after researching the problem that this is a Remote-NDIS host problem. Your Uni should be able to help you with this even if it isn't at there end.
