Hi, I have recently bought at auction a Honda HR194 Mower

The manual is on this link: http://engines.honda.com/parts-and-support/owners-manuals/GCV160 The manual depends on the serial number. It does not appear to have adjustable choke.

check the air filter if ok clean the carb jets

most carbs just need to be rebuilt it's not a hard job but when your finished adjust the mixture screw out 1 full turn of the screwdriver. that will get it started then fine tune it from there....good luck

The first thing to check is the spark plug, is it clean and properly "Gapped" next is are we actually getting spark, does the spark plug actually "Spark". Check. Check Spark Plug lead., Check connections. Do we have Fuel, Check .and Is the fuel getting to the Carburettor? Check. Check the battery. alternator, generator, is providing power. Check the Mixture.

SOUNDS LIKE YOU HAVE BAD GAS YOU MAY TRY CHANGING YOUR GAS

it might be for a missing hose to a primer bulb or return line to the tank. does it seem like either are missing?
