You need a new battery then. You can order one online for a reasonable price and installation is fairly easy. I have posted two web sites that sell batteries for iPods as well as step by step instructions for the click wheel iPod models. www.ifixit.com
iPodbatterydepot.com
Top Case Removal Begin by using a flat tool to separate the white plastic front case from the silver backcase. You will need to stick your flat tool into the crevice, work it down into the crevice, and then pry up so that the casing separates. Apply enough pressure so that your flat tooldoes not slip and scratch your iPod!Continue separating the casing by gently prying up all the way around the unit. It shouldbe much easier to pry the casing apart after you get the initial corner started.

With the casing separated, grasp the top half (the part with the front bezel) and flip it over. Note that there is an orange cable in the top left corner that connects the iPodlogic board to the headphone ports. If you gently grasp the cable and pull, it will slide out of its connector on the headphone port module board.

Headphone Jack Board Removal Before proceeding, you must remove the top case. There are two t6 screws holding the headphone port in place. Remove both of these screws. You can now remove the headphone module.

Hard Drive Removal Before proceeding, you must remove the top case.Hold the hard drive up, and remove the black tape on the hard drive connector. This will reveal the hard drive cable’s connector to the logic board. To remove the hard drive, grasp the cable (thumb on top index finger onbottom) and gently pull the cable out (away from you and the connector)The hard drive will now be free of the iPod logic board.

Hard Drive Cable Removal Before proceeding, remove the hard drive. To remove the hard drive cable, hold the drive, and gently pull up on the cable. It should come out easily.

Headphone Connector Cable Removal Before proceeding, remove the hard drive. To remove the headphone connector cable, Grasp the cable, and gently pull up. It should come out easily.

Logic Board Removal Before proceeding, remove the hard drive and headphone connector cable First, disconnect the battery connector by grasping the cable and gently pulling up to disconnect the cable from the logic board connector. Remove the 6 black T6 Screws.
With the screws removed slightly move the logic board to the left to give more access to the clickwheel cable. Gently pull this cable to free it from the logic boardconnector. The logic board will now easily come free from the case. The LCD will still be attachedto the logic board.

LCD Removal Before proceeding, first remove:Hard DriveHeadphone Connector CableLogic BoardTo remove the LCD, grasp the green connector cable, and gently pull to free it from the logic board connector. It should come out easily.

Battery Removal Before proceeding, first remove:Hard DriveHeadphone Connector Cable Logic Board To remove the battery, use a flat tool to pry the battery up. It is held on with a lightadhesive, and should come up by using just a little force. Lift the battery out of the unit.

Everything goes back in with gentle pressure and of course replacing screws and what not. All in all though, it is allot cheaper then buying a new iPod or other MP3 player :) I hope this is helpful to you

I forgot my i pod touch lock code

Try connecting your iPod with the first computer you used it with and open iTunes. If that doesn't work you will have to restore your iPod

The lead from the pc to the screen is brocken so the screan doesn't come on when the pc is switched on

If the screen connected to this computer has a detachable video cable (as almost all modern monitors do) then detach the video cable at both ends throw it away and replace it with a new one. Video cables are not expensive.

If yours is an old monitor with a permanently attached cable then this might be the perfect opportunity to upgrade to a new modern monitor which will come with a new cable enclosed. The latest flat screen PC monitors are relatively inexpensive.

My marine stereo doesn't work anymore...Can I hook up my i pod to my pontoon boat speakers?

Yes, but not directly... the I pod will not have enough power to run the speakers...you will still need to have a radio or other way of powering the speakers and then feed the I pod into that...

Hi my name is taka, my i pod touch just freezed and it cannot work. I tried to slide it to on but it just didnt work, I need your assistance pls

There are 3 solutions to your problem:

1. Plug your i-pod into the USB cord, and it should turn off.

If that doesn't work,

2. Wait for your battery to die then the screen will shut off once the battery is dead.

3. Try holding the home & on/off button for at least ten seconds. It should turn off. (You might have to try it a few times)

If all fails, (which it shouldn't), call the apple i-pod store, and you can either bring your i-pod in or they'll tell you what to do :)
Good luck, Kobac

Connection to I Pod touch from PC desktop computer Unable to connect

1.- You must verify that the desktop computer works without problem in wireless way with the D-Link device.-
2.- The I Pod touch device is an external unit to the desktop computer, so you have be shure of the first condition.-
3.- If the destop computer don`t work in wireless conditions, the fail is in the configuration of the LanWireless, you must check both, D-Link device and computer configurations.-
4.- If the computer works ok, the problem is only in the I Pod touch only.- You muts to check fisical connections and I Pod hardware.-

is the mouse still attached when the touchpad doesn't work or does it still not work when you detach the mouse, if it works after detaching the mouse, your computer automatically disables the touchpad when a mouse is plugged in.
