The KSM44A does not care about the humidity. However, it does require phantom power from the mixer. Take it to a friend to see if it works fine into their sound system.

SOURCE: No sound from a Shure MX412D/C

Sounds to me like you may be missing a phantom power supply. The 570S is a Dynamic mic. The MX412d/c is a Cardioid and requires a 11-52v supply over pins 2 & 3 in the mic cable. Phantom power is a feature of most professional mixing consoles(usually 48v). If you do not have a phantom power supply on your system- then you can purchase single battery powered units to insert in the link between sound console and Mic. For example: AKG B-18
Hope this helps.

SOURCE: How to make Shure wireless mic work with Azden 305

Sorry, that is not possible. Different manufacturers use different companding, noise reduction, and squelch schemes. Thus, even if they are on the same frequency, you might not get any audio or the audio might sound quite funny.

My Shure mics work fine but two bodypacks are not working. Are there fixable parts in there?

Try switching mic's with known good system. The small diameter cable going to headset and lav mic's are easily damaged. If the mic feeding the bodypack is good, fresh battery, mute disengaged and channels set properly then it's Shure factory service time.

I left my Shure 87a in the car for a 2 week period back in the winter. didn't realize it was there..i notice now it doesn't seem to have the same clear, powerful sound coming out when i use...

The headline has two different mics listed... a Shure 87a and a Beta 98/S... not sure which you really have... Normally leaving the mic in the car should NOT have affeected it, although you haven't told us the environment such as humid or immersed in water, etc. On the chance it may have had condensation I would put it over a hot-air register for a few days to insure there is no residual condensation .. DO NOT place in an oven to try to speed this up. If there is condensation on the diaphram it needs to evaporate and vent slowly. Also you can look for corrosion on the plug contacts.

I have two Shure sm58 mics that simply will not work...I do not know where to begin. How should I trouble shot?

If these are wired SM58 mics, they will probably need to be sent to Shure for repairs. The cost to repair is less than purchasing a new one, and they will usually just send you a new mic.

No sound pass through

1) Try a different phantom powered mic into the same cable and same phantom power supply to see if it works.
2) Take the mic to a friend or the dealer to see if it works into a different mixer.

If the mic doesn't work into a different mixer, return it to Shure for repairs: www.shure.com/service
