Oven will warm up to set temperature and shut off. It will not relight to maintain that termperature and must be relit by pressing cancel and then start after the temperature has dropped to below 200 degrees.

SOURCE: head a popping sound and oven temperature doesn't work

Most likely a bad element. Turn off the power to the oven. Remove the racks. Use a phillips screwdriver or 1/4 inch nut driver to remove the mounting screws at the back of the oven cavity to remove the element. Carefully pull the element out and remove the wires. Do not let the wires fall back into the holes. Use a volt meter set for continuity. Touch one meter lead to one terminal on the element. Touch the other meter lead to the other terminal. If you get NO reading the element is bad. A new element will correct your problem. If the element reads as good you have a wiring problem or a bad control.

The oven comes on an heats up to temperature , after a short while the oven no longer continues to heat. The contol panel shows on in bake mode , but the oven continues to cool.

Hello Brian;

You did not provide any information on the unit that you have. After you open the oven door there is a metal label on the face of the oven. Send that to me so I can see what you have.

1.) Some ovens have a single or dual broiler thermocouple.

2.) Some ovens have a separate control board for the oven.

3.) Some ovens have a Infinite switch.

What does F2 mean

F2 means that the oven temperature has exceeded 590 degrees with the door in the unlocked position. There is high resistance or interference in the oven termperature sensor. Replace the oven temperature sensor.

Kenmore SF367.....Contantly relighting during cooking?

This is a normal function of your gas range. I own a similar model and it operates the same way. The gas is not required to be on continuously to maintain the oven temperature and will relight periodically when the internal temperature drops below the prescribed set level.
