unfortunately the office which comes pre-installed is just a trial copy, you will need to purchase a key via microsoft. There are slightly less legal ways to get a key but obviously I cant recommend that. maybe try a search engine and type in what it is that you want.

Please try the following:

Go to device manager and uninstal the HLDT drive from DVD/CD ROM option.
2.Uninstall the secondary IDE controllers from the device manager.
3.Go to run iption and type regedit and press enter.
registry editer will be opened there expand H_Key_ Local Machine key and go to system>cureent control set>contro>class> single click on first key starting with 4D.
If on the right hand pane there is any lower or uppwer filters then delete them.

Restart the machine twice and check if not working you might need to change the ODD.

To upgrade the firmware click here. If this doesnot resolve the problem there is nothing else you can do. its a mechnical problem.
